| Getting A Yorkie and Need Help! Which One? Okay, so my husband and I are getting a baby. A Yorkie Baby! Here are my two choices. I can get this boy from Star Struck Yorkshire Terriers: http://www.starstruckyorkies.homestead.com/FS.html He's the boy on the bottom, and his daddy is Gambler (see their Champion page) http://www.starstruckyorkies.homestead.com His mom was fixed after she had this little so I'll need to go see her as Stephanie the owner didn't put her on the website. He's pretty of course but they all are. He's 3 months old. I just don't know anything about this breeder. On the other hand I've been talking to Mrs. June who breeds the Ju-Gene line which have been proven champions but I'll have to wait to see if her dog is pregnant and then wait till the pup is ready. I don't want to wait but don't know much about this other breeder. Could some of you look her sight and see what you think? I'm not looking for Awww that is cute. I'm looking for people who know the breed and can tell me that this dog is worth $2000. |

| I clicked the first link. I, personally, am wary if I see any of the white of the puppy's eyes which could indicate hydrocephalus. I am unsure which puppy the second link is. Anyway, they look like very beautiful pups. Worth $2,000 - I guess if you are going to show or breed, but I think you can find puppies cheaper that are just as pretty if it is only a pet. The $2,000 price tag should come with a good guarantee against genetic defects and a bile acid test to rule out a liver shunt. How old and how much does the first one weigh in these pics? | The second link is the breeders main homepage and if you click on Champions you'll see the name Gambler. This dog is the male puppys dad. I know the puppies were born February 10 of this year. I don't know how old they are in this picture. Before I decide on the dog I'll probably ask to talk to her vet. |

| Well, he sure is a beautiful dog!! Short ears that stand up, short muzzle...The only thing I would be weary of is the eyes, like someone just said. Just make sure you ask a lot of questions and be sure you are comfortable with the breeder before you make a decision. $2000 is a lot of money! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I think those pups are GORGEOUS! Very nice quality. I do think that maybe she's got the hair pulled up too tight between their eyes but lovely pups, for sure!

| Stephanie does sound very knowledgable and I've been doing some googling...she's been out there a while. I'm trying to convince my hubby on the price. It's just so scary spending that much for a pet when there are so many bad breeders our there especially for Yorkies. You should see some of the dogs I've seen. Poor things barely look like a YT. It's makes me feel guilty when there are so many dogs on www.petfinders.org that need a good home. There are even Yorkies there but the poor things are so ugly...but it makes me feel vain and guilty for wanting a beautiful example of the breed. |

| Don't feel guilty about having a beauty as a pet quality Yorkies . Mine have the same look of the ones on the website and I never heard the new parents complaining about the fact that they have beauty as pet . If you love the puppy , go for it . |
