| Overlapping canine teeth?!?!?!?!?!? I am soooo sad... When I first bought Mia... she always had her tougue sticking out... I thought it was sooo cute!!! Now I just noticed that she can't completely close her little mouth... The top and botton canine teeth overlap... Is there anything I can do? She is 13 weeks old now... and a big Yorkie Baby... 5.5 pounds!!!! Please help... I will take a picture tonight and post Kate |

| Yes, you need to get her canines (babies) pulled.. I did Daisy's when she was put to sleep to be spayed... I just re read your post. I think I misunderstood... She does'nt have two sets, her bite is off, right? |

| Their bite doesn't become permanent until about 10 months old so she'll probably go through a lot of changes before then. It's difficult to describe a bite without a picture. Most likely she has an overbite, but it shouldn't keep her from eating properly. A scissor bite (which is desired) is described as overlapping teeth so I think maybe you are saying her canine (fang) teeth meet at the points??? |

| french canadian!!!! LOL Sorry.. I wasn't explaining it the right way... That is exactly it... her fangs top and bottom are at the same place in her mouth... instead of being (when mouth is closed) one beside the other.. they are one on top of the other... am I making sense now?? I will take a picture tonight... K. |

| One of our yorkies has an underbite, which causes her tongue to stick out most of the time. I think it is so funny! As long as it is not affecting her eating and you aren't planning on showing her, then I wouldn't worry about it. |

| Going by Bailey's teeth I would say that those teeth are going to fall out and new ones in, perhaps when the new ones do come in, they will be fine. Last week Baileys new canines came in, as well his baby are still there, I have been in a panic begging those babies to fall out, playing tug , fetch, and giving him lots to chew. Today one is really wiggly, he will be 6 months next week , and still teething. My guess would be there is time for them to get better. I sure there are others with more experience then me that will give you some great advice.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | since she is only 13 weeks those have to be her baby teeth and they will eventualy fall out. hopefully the adult teeth won't grow in the same way. if they are bothering her i'd take her to the vet and ask their opinion just in case. |
