| need help on new baby Well as some of you know Cassie has a new sister !! Well my question is I put down the puppy food for Maggie but guess who likes the taste of it too. Problem is the puppy food has more fat in it then the adult food that Cassie eats so I don't want her to eat the puppy food, she does not need to put on any more weight. How do I get her to leave it alone and eat her own. She gets really mad at me and Maggie if I tell her she can not have it. What does everyone else do in this situation. |

| feed cassie first when cassie is done with her meal, then start feeding maggie. this'll help to establish pecking order betw the sisters and will probably help with the feeding issue. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I put Jack's food down first but then put Jill in the expen for her feeding. That way I know that they both ate their own. Works for me! Great news on the new puppy. I know what you face as we have had Jill now for about 5 weeks. Puppy's are wonderful but they do change your lifestyle! How about some pictures of the new little furbaby.

| I'm not much help - I let all of mine eat puppy food for now with my new baby (4 months). None of mine have a weight problem though. They are 15 months and 3 years so I don't think it will harm them too seriously for another 8 months. They all eat plain dry without can added. If you add canned to the puppy's and not the adults, I think I would separate the puppy in another room for 20 minutes. |

| Jazzie did the same thing when we first brought Jewel home. We put Jazzie's bowl down first and then gave Jewel hers Waaaaayyyyy far away but still within Jazzie's line of sight. Jazzie would gobble up her food and try to get Jewel's but we let her know it wasn't hers. 3 Years later, Jazzie still tries but Jewel WON'T let her have any. When they are both done they check out each others bowl to see if there is anything left!
