| How am i going to finish? OMG, I am having THE MOST DIFFICULT TIME RIGHT NOW... i have to finish a paper and toby WONT LEAVE ME ALONE, it got so bad i had to stick him in his crate !!! which i usually never do....... he usually sits on my lap fine when i am working on school work, but there is a dog that has been barking for HOURS straight and barking kinda freaks toby out, so he paces on my lap and lays down ON TOP OF MY ARM so that i cant type.... i swear, I feel bad "shunning" him because he is a little "scared or uncertain" about this dog barking constantly but i had no other choice....... How do you people deal with attention demanding yorkies when you need to get work done (oh and by the way... it is 1 o clock in the morning, so i had better finish this paper soon) |

| I am so sorry for you, Sydnee does that to me when I am working. I own a design company and she constantly wants attention. However, since she became a month older she has learned the art of chilling out. She gets worn out with chasing the cats and them using her as a soccer ball also. I understand about putting them in a carrier I hate it also. Good luck on finishing the paper though. You could possibly teach him to type and he could help. Wasn't it in Legally Blonde 2 where she taught her baby to shop online. LOL

| "I own a design company and she constantly wants attention." EXACTLY. Same here. I've been thinking that it's because Chewy is a player. He is a naturally dominant little fellow and so he will work me to get attention. With him, he will snuff at me when I don't drop whatever project I'm trying to get in under the deadline, and go destroy something to force me to interact with him. I thought perhaps I wasn't giving him enough attention, but I play with him for HOURS every day, and walk him every day once or twice, and he often gets to play with other dogs in the yard. But it's at the point that I'm thinking that the only cure for a bored yorkie is going to have to be another yorkie. Am I digging my own grave? Or doubling the fun while cutting the needyness in half? |

| On that one all I can say is you have more guts than me. I spend so much time entertaining and playing with Sydnee I don't know if I have the energy for what would essentially be twins. Because I would want to get one if I did about the same age so they would be on the level of maturity. However their are others on here that have 1, 2 and even three Yorkies and do it well. I am just a new Yorkie mom of only 2 months. But you go girl go, if you have the stamina for it, never can have enough fur babies.

| Oh yeah, Bo is like super ADHD pup! Don't think they mellow a whole lot with age guys. Bo and our Schnauzer play a lot. Two does help if you can manage it.

| Haa! haa! haa! You sound like me. I was up till 2am trying to do a program for class. Unforunately, I didn't finish. However, my yorkies are older than yours and they don't require as much attention as they used to when they were pups. Plus I have more than one so they will play with each other when I don't have time to play with them. The bad thing is I had to get up at 6am to get ready for work That's okay. Been doing it for almost 1 year. I'm use to this 4 hours sleep nights. Last edited by yorkieagility; 04-14-2005 at 05:21 AM. |
