| Whoa!!! Stitch makes my Mia look tiny!! We love them all no matter how big or small they are. They have their own personalities and that's what makes them so special.

YT 500 Club Member | Sumo yorkie My boy, I've deemed him Toby the Tyrant, Professional Sumo Yorkie, is only 4 1/2 months and weighs around 7 lbs ... And before the previous owners had him groomed he looked just like yours. Exactly. I love the floppy ears too. I'll try and post pics. But he's gonna be a big boy. I'm ok with that too...but he's half of Izzys age and much bigger than her already. |

| yes my sister got both of hers from good breeders, she was scared of getting puppies from anywhere else after a bad experience buying my momma a chihauhau (spelling) it turned out to be inbred and after many vet bills he passed at 2.5 years old and we did a mad scramble searching for a look alike from reputable breeders and found her snickers. who she adores, and she has papers on both of her yorkies, the crazy thing is stitches head is almost larger than her momma lol. ive always been a "yap dog hater" till now, always said if a dog cant hunt or protect the house it wasnt worth having, and now i couldnt imagine not having stitch, and when she was a year old she woke me up quietly when some kids were trying to break into the house, no barking, just jumped in my bed and tried to lick my face off till i woke up n then kept running towards the end of the bed till i got in my chair n went to investigate. never taught her that and tho shes the smallest dog i ever owned shes the smartest and by far bravest lol. being a disabled vet im home alot and she does everything with me till the kid gets home then shes on her till bedtime. i actually have to moderate whats on tv, stitch thinks its a window. and god help you if there an animal show on. she spent weeks mimicing meer cats after my daughter cheyenne watched a special about them, after the snow leopard special i had to ground stitch from animal shows lol, she kept crouching down n stalking people etc. altho she is a great spokespuppy for the breed, my nurse is wanting a yorkie after seeing stitches antics n tv addiction. never seen a dog watch tv muh less semi understand it. but when chey gets home shes gonna help me load video n pics. i had to anchor the entertainment center to the wall after the scene in 8 below where the dogs fought the seal, stitch tried to get thru the window (tv) to help the dogs and reality went insane for a moment with everyone scrambling to steady the center, grab the very angry pup, and save the tv, while my momma was dragging me n my wheelchair outta the way in case it fell lmao. we changed the show after we rewound it a few times, noone believed me she understood what she seen n everytime she seen that part she went ballistic. now my sisters want stitch cloned lol. to be honest stitch is my 2nd kid lol, and im more attached to her than most of the ppl in my life. once it was mentioned she might have something wrong me n the kid have been going nuts, ill load pics and such tonight, is there a certain place to post them?? i will say my sister now wants stitch back lol, never gonna happen unless she clones her n i alrdy told her shes gotta pay me a puppy for the dna lmao. after reading othet posts i cant wait to show her off. |

| I think big Yorkies are great. My guy is little, and I am constantly being asked if he is a "teacup." I do a quick public service message about standard Yorkie sizes, and how the super tiny ones are not typical and can face heart breaking health problems. I think the "giant" Yorkies are great so people can see that Yorkie cuteness is not dependent on tininess. |

(I have a feral cat who thought the tv was real and terrifying for the first week or so he was here, too, but Big Cat Diaries and Meerkat Manor became his daily fix. lol) Hope that you find Stitch is just a genetic throwback to the larger Yorkies and isn't facing a pituitary issue or something. And welcome!

| Its fun sometimes, she gets animal dvds from everyone it seems for xmas, last year my other sister forgot to get me anything but she had 4 presents for stitch, shes become a family member for the whole family lol. After she wrecked a family dinner, or at least postponed it till the food was cold, she was being weaned, we were all out back so smokers could have one b4 dinner and the movie began and my mommas small chihuahua snickers and maltese blitz was trying to figure out what she was all sniffing her when she decided to try n nurse from snickers, yup reality was bent for a bit as snickers howled, blitz was convinced stitch was something serious, best part tiny stitch kept trying to get to them, they both ran for their lives, and pretty much the whole family was on the ground i n tears wishing they could breathe. After that i wrapped her up in my shirt for a few mins to calm down n blam a few mins later as we were making our plates, she reached up n bit my nipple, yup i howled almost dropped her, everyone hit the floor, my daughter grabbed stitch n ran to the livingroom. Once we were barely composed, everyone agreeing noone do nothin that might cause the hysterics to return and most of us were in considerablr abdominal pain, we got plates made headed into the livingroom and blam it was over, cheyenne had armored herself with pillows to protect her chest while she held stitch, so much food fell at that point we ordered pizza lmao.....have great day folks....kids (chey, stitchies been rdy for an hour lol) finally rdy its time to head into the woods ..... more pics :-) |

| My girl's a slight chunky monkey at 11.5lbs me and the vet agree she should be more like around 9lb. The only reason we are particularly on her weight is because of her Luxating Patellas (dislocating knees). Gonna work on both her's and my weight this summer ^^;;

| Mine is a Chewy also My Chewy is a 25 lb parti-yorkie. He is a little over weight but not enough to explain that big of a dog. I was offered his papers but they were actually more than I paid for my love bug. The breeder knew he was going to be big. Said he was charting to be 10-12 lbs. I was looking for a companion dog for my 11 lb Shi-Poo and wasn't going to breed him so I didn't feel any need to pay for his papers. At $200, the breeders were basically trying to get rid of him. His tiny brothers & sisters were being sold for 10+ times my baby's price. He came to me this little body with hugely long legs. After a few months he had grown into those legs! He is the sweetest, most loving little boy with the most expressive eyes and he seems to be smiling all the time. Even though he is twice the size of his "big" sister, he loves her and tries his hardest to protect her. He is totally scared of her though and will make sure he doesn't "surprise" her. Once I figure how the site work, I will upload his baby photos & current photo. |

| This is actually not out of the ordinary at all. These tiny yorkies have been INTENTIONALLY been bred down to nothing for no good reason and often to the detriment of their health. However they still carry the genes of being 10-15 pound dogs and it occasionally pops up randomly in litters when the right two dogs are put together. Then of course there is the cases where it's probably due to the continuation of the production of the growth hormone that stops/slows down in smaller dogs which keeps them smaller. |
