| Lola's back from the Vet! So little Lola is finally home. She is spayed, microchipped, and they had to pull EIGHTEEN teeth out. Can you imagine? Anyway she is really drugged up and the vet seems to think that she won't need anymore pain meds. Her visit was less than we expected $660.74. Heres the breakdown of expenses for all of you that were wondering about the price. $34 for the exam $226.88 for the spay $56 for the extra anesthesia(teeth) $120 for the teeth extraction $122.80 for the x-rays (prior leg surgery check up) $61.26 for the microchip $39.80 for the pain med injection I brought flowers for their lobby, which has become my tradition every time Lola has surgery. They were making fun of me a little bit about how often I call with questions. They also were proud of both my bf and I for not calling as much lately. They all seem to love her so much and she is truly well cared for there. The girls there all comment about her different blankets and how they wish they had stuff as soft. Anyway she is home and hopefully she will return to her normal self soon.

| I mentioned how high your bill was going to be - but;: 1) It costs more to spay than neuter. 2) She had a "ton" of teeth pulled with "extra" anesthetic." 3) And, the x-rays were a good part of the bill (if my dog had been doing fine - I would have skipped the x-ray - my husband was a radiologist - and he would have skipped it - of course, only if your dog was getting along fine.) So - allowing for regional variences - it is probably in line. Carol Jean |

| Poor little Lola! I can't believe he doesn't think she'll need pain meds after all that's been done to her. I wish her a speedy recovery! So glad she's back home with you! Wow...when I had Maddie spayed...about a year ago... it was $80 for the surgery and with bloodwork and things, it came to under $150. I know Lola had a lot more done, but I was looking at the difference in the surgery itself! Big difference!
