| Any 8 Pound Males Out There? I just came back from my new Vet. today.......she said my male Artie, who is 1 yr. and 3 months weighed a whopping 8 pounds and one ounce! But she said he was small and that was a good weight for him? And any smaller he would be skinny? She also said that it was solid muscle and it was a healthy weight since he is so active. Are there any Full grown males out there? What's their weight? And How much exercise to they get? I'm just curious and would like to know. Just so I can have a comparison? Since the standard says 7 pounds? He is only 9 inches tall and 12 inches long (from shoulder to tail base). My female is 9 weeks old and 3.5 pounds, I don't care how big or heavy she gets. I think I just have a complex about his weight? |

| What about 9.1 pounds?!?!?!!!! Our Sully is 8 mo. old, full-grown by now (I hope!!!) and is 9.1 pounds! Not fat, like yours, solid muscle....a healthy little ball of energy! Sully's mom was 7lbs, and his dad was 6lbs....so how does this happen, I don't know! I called my breeder asap and told her, and she gasped and said Wow! We love him just the same, and he's still a great little small dog. GREAT little dog, we love him to pieces. My uncle's yorkie is 12 pounds...he's huge! But, no relation to our yorkie at all. Whew. I had wished Sully would be small enough to fit into a purse-carrier. Oh well, those days have passed. I'm glad I never splurged to buy one b/c by now he'd be grown out of it!

| Simon is 1 year and 7 months and weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces, I just had him weighed today. He is so high energy and runs around all day so I'm considering myself lucky that he weighs that much since he has so many tummy problems. Hallie is 3 years old and weighs 6.6 but she is shorter and now on a diet ;( |

| Big yorkie Teddy is 11.75" to the withers and 12.5 lbs. His father is 6.5lbs and his mother is 7lbs. He has 3 other littermates. His sister are 4lbs and 4.5lbs and his brother is 6.5lbs. Don't know what happen to him but it's okay. He is easier to train than any of my other dogs and there is more of him to hug! |

| My baby is 7.1 lbs at 9 months....I hear that puppies can grow up to a year, so maybe Mason will reach about 8lbs. His mommy is 6lbs and daddy is 9lbs so I guess that's about right.... |

| Bailey will be 1 year old, June 4th (party) but he weighs 9.8 pounds.. and is solid,, muscle! No flab on him... My vet said he would rather see a bigger yorkie anyday rather than a too small one,, (health problems). Also, his mom was 7 pounds and his dad was 6... so ya never quite know what you're gonna get.. I think Bailey is done growing, he hasnt gained any weight in the last 3 months.. so I hope he's done growing!
