| Diarrhea Willy started with diarrhea on friday evening, he get this way sometime so I did as I usually do for him, fast him for 24 hrs, then rice& boiled hamburger. My problem came in when before the 24 hour fasting was over he started throwing up stomach bile. So, I made the rice/hamburger and fed that to him awhile (sat. noon). I gave him more this am and he is still having the diarrhea & now his little bottom is VERY sore(because he is scooting to clean his bottom). I am thinking of trying the fasting again, thru this evening & tomorrow am. If things don't change til tomorrow I will be on the phone for a vet appt. Maybe someone has and idea of what I could do or do differently. Right now to save my carpets & furniture he is wearing one of my daughters pull-ups and not to happy about it either. Des |

| Yep I would try the fasting. Thats what my vet always has me do first. Chachi had diahrea about a month ago and it didnt go away after fasting so I took him to the vet and they put him on meds. Times before that fasting always worked though.

| I would stop the boiled hambuger for now. Give boiled, de-boned white meat chicken instead of the hamburger. Hope your baby is ok . Best wishes, |

| My vet told me I could also feed Chachi cottage cheese when he had the diahrea. That was after I had fasted him.

| Willy is much better today, the vet gave him a couple of meds. I had a new vet in the practice yestersday, and I think she needs to prove herself or something. She wanted to do all kinds of bloodwork to check for all kinds of things. Unfortunately our budget doesn't allow for the extras right now, so she gave us some meds & told me the creams I already had would help his sore bottom. And to continue the hamburger & rice for a few more days. And this morning, for the first time since friday am, he had a nice solid poop. Desiree |
