| do you trim under their tail area frequently? my male yorkie alexanders hair grows so quick, i just took him to the groomers 2 weeks ago and price is not a factor because where i live in Mocksville,NC it cost $15 to groom. so i could take him every week, but i was just wondering if anybody does trim around that area. i could probably do it late at night when he is soooo sleepy --just wondering |

| Yes Well, I just got my dog this weekend, but that night, I took my husbands clippers (hehehehe) and shaved her little tail area. It was so nasty. She didn't like it, but I think it makes her happy now. It was really easy. |

| i trim and groom my babies every week. I do cut their hair and trim under their tail area frequently because their hair grows fast as well. i do it before i give them a bath.. i'm lucky that they are very patient and calm wheni do this, id on't know maybe they are scared of the scissors? lol.. but i do trim! lol that sounds funny. | I brought Fred in to the vet last month because he was pooping and I was trying to teach him not to poop but he got startled and stoppped midway! His poop was hanging from his butt and stuck to his hair so the vet cleaned him up, shaved his butt and said he was okay. It was the funniest thing for a couple days and then it looked so cute. When he walked, his toosh was so bare and it kept him soooo much cleaner! It's growing out again though so we're about to go shave it again this weekend at the groomers. |

| I always have Newf's privates trimmed at the groomers. One time he pooped and it stuck to his butt, let me tell you he was bawlin until we cleaned it off!!!So, needless to say that is pretty important for us to have the groomer to clean him up !!!

| I usually trim it every other week, but it is really as often as needed I use wahl clippers (make sure to add the clipper adjustments - a real short one) the skin is very sensitive, and of course, clean it often, specially when used with multiple pets. |

| I have to admit I was going back and forth weather on not I could trim that area on my own. Well after reading this and not feeling well ( scent sensitive if you know what I mean )I decided to give it a try. It is nicer now, and looks much cleaner, not sure how Bridget felt about it though, she kept trying to bite me and my fingers . Oh well, at least I was brave enough to do it. I havent taken her to the groomers yet becuase she still has once set of shots before she is done, after that I will let someone else shave her...

| Yup, I trim around his tushy all the time. I've had 2 times where his poopie was a "ghost" poopie...yup, you guessed it, I knew he pooped and he and I could smell it, but could not find his turd..that little sucker was stuck to his tush..I had to peel it away with my finger nails and put his tush under running water and wash his bum-it was a MESS I tell ya. So, now we keep that area spiffy!!!!!
