| Are sneezing fits normal? For the last couple of days Kirby has been sneezing a lot. Not constantly but he will sneeze 5-6 times in a row and has done that 2 or 3 times a day for the last 2-3 days. I haven't given him a bath lately so I don't think he has a cold. Do dogs get allergies? Maybe something is blooming in the area that he's allergic too? Does anybody elses dogs do this?

| The other night we went to bed and Baby had a sneezing fit. She was sneezing so much I had to turn the light on, and look at her ,and call her name to get her to stop. I don't know why she did it, but she hasn't done it since. She was at the vets last week for her yearly check up and was fine. |

| My Stormy does that also. His vet said that it is perfectly normal. Dogs, like humans, have trouble with certain allergans.

| I was at the Dr's Monday and I'm on five different meds now for my allergies. It makes me think of my poor furbabies and now I know why they've been sneezing a lot too these past few weeks. The pollen count is off the charts this time of year and specifically in the Northeast because of the mild winter we had...poor babies!!! |

| Jaxon often will sneeze a few times in a row. We live in a new area with lots of construction so there is plenty of dust. Also if I pick him up just after putting on perfume, he's bound to sneeze! Only know this because it happened yesterday.

| Simon does that too! He has allergies and this time of year they are worse than others. His eyes get a really bad yellow goopy stuff so he has eye drops everyday for those allergies. Poor Kirby and his allergies |

| May be allergies - but I'm not sure these type of allergies affect dogs. Something may be "tickling" your dogs nose. My dogs have all done this whenever they have gotten into something, sniffed around, and gotten something in their noise. Could be something silly like only a piece of fuzz or paper or something. Anyway - my dogs sneezed for a while or a day or so - and then were over it. AND - my dogs sneeze once in a while anyway. So do I! Carol Jean |

| Okay, I guess I won't rush him to the animal hospital I'm glad to know other dogs do this too. Thanks for the input!

| My Yorkie just started this in the past few days. Can I give her children's half dose of allergy meds? |

| Hi, What I would do myself is to first talk to my vet and see what he or she advises. He knows your dog and size and all and I would think would be the best one to advise you on what to give or not give your baby for his or her sneezing. |
