| Yorkies with imaginary friends? I was just wondering if anyone else's dog has ever gone a bit weird. I was in my kitchen preparing dinner about a week or so ago, when Mitzi started barking at the corner of the room. There's nothing there except the breakfast bar thingy and the microwave. The next day I found her "playing" with whatever it was she was barking at the day before. She was laying down and barking, then jumping back, barking again, like she was waiting for someone to throw a ball or something. She stayed there for almost 15 minutes, just jumping around like a nutcase. Since then, I often find her playing with the corner of the room! I don't mind saying I find it a little disconcerting, lol. Does anyone else have similar experience with dogs and their imaginary friends?

| That's Hilarious No, my yorkie doesn't do that but maybe yours is trying to tell you something. Does he/she have any playmates. Mine little 4 month old yorkie barks at reflections in the glass and shadows though. He's such a little scaredy cat. |

| I know this will sound "off the wall" but animals and small children are sometimes able to sense things that we "closed minded" and busy adults can't or won't see. Do you have young children that you notice similiar happenings going on? I know some people don't believe in those type of things, but whenever I think of my father (passed away in '73) I get a lot a butterflies around me. I truly believe my father sends them to me. In the winter months, it seems that all I see in magazines or stores or on TV butterflies are put in front of me. So.....just maybe....your furbaby really does have a playmate.

LOL!! I thought about that for about 5 seconds, scared myself and blocked the whole idea out of my mind!! I'd never cook again because of the ghost who haunts my kitchen! On the other hand, what a way to diet eh? LoL! I think the playmate advice is the most logical, rational and scientific suggestion. It's also the one that doesn't scare me, lol!! I have read about dogs that see things we can't. I guess thats why it gave me the heebie geebies. Whatever it is she plays with likes her and she seems to like it. LoL! I guess whatever it is, it's a "dogs eyes only" thing. As long as it stays that way, I'm a happy bunny.

Well take heart in the fact that she likes her ghostly buddy. People always say dogs are very intuitative about people....maybe that includes ghosts too. If I ever get a kitchen ghost...I hope he cleans up around here. I'll play with the dog
