| I thought i lost my little Mac I have just got home from the vets, i cannot believe how close i came to losing my liitle boy I was walking down the stairs when i felt this thud at my feet, Bell was on the stairs coming down, when i looked down there was little Mac, on his back stuck between the bottom stair and the baby gate.... My heart sank...he was not breathing, he was all stiff with his tounge hanging out...i put him on the chair, and the panic just took over, i thought oh my god, he has died, his heart was still beating though, i didnt know what to do, then i thought breath into his mouth, it worked, he started breathing again.. Then i rang the vet and whilst i was on the phone, he stopped again, i dropped the phone and blew into his mouth, he started again...he didnt come around though, he was just lay there, i was screaming at the vet on the phone..... My friend ran me to the surgery, and as soon as we got there, he woke up, looked around and went back to sleep.... The vet said that he is very very lucky to be here...he is in shock and just wanting to sleep...he has had 4 injections, and some glucose, so fingers crossed he will come round....she said that hopefully he will be okay by the morning, and just to leave him sleep....i cant believe that he feel, he has masterd the stairs, he always follows me up and down, i just dont know how he feel....i should not have allowed him to climb them, and i cant beleive how stupid i have been, i am devasted, i almost lost my baby....

| I lost a little Yorkie to drowning in our pool. My other Yorkies had always stayed away from the pool. You can't imagine the guilt I felt. Now, the Yorkies do not have access to the pool. You can't prevent all accidents, you can only learn from them. Hope your little one makes a full recovery. Thoughts and prayers are with you both. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Oh how horrible, but it is impossible to protect them all the time. Thanks God you had the presence of mind to get him breathing again. I think I would have been so paniced and not thought of it. I would keep touching him tto to make sure he is doing ok. He'll probably be up and running tomorrow like nothing happened and you will have aged 10 years. I will keep you both in my prayers.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Honey you are not stupid...things happen beyond our control...that's why they are called accidents. You were very quick thinking in giving him mouth to mouth (mouth to muzzle?). I am certain he is here today because of your actions. Do not blame yourself for what you should've, could've, wished you'd done....though that's easier said than done. Wishing him a full, speedy recovery. Blessings and prayers sent for you both from over the pond

| I knew there was i reason that i found this site, people just dont understand what my animals mean to me, everybody on here does....you are all so kind, and yes i do feel guilty, and i will learn from it....what makes me feel better is that i can come on here, and i know there is so much support from people who i dont know, but we all love our babies....thanks to you all..... I have no idea what came over me, it is hard to explain but i know if i hadnt had blown in his mouth, he would have gone....even the vet said that if i had not have been here...then he wouldnt either....i just hope that he will have come around by morning...all he wants to do is sleep..... I have just uploaded some pics too, so you can all see the little chap...ohhh and friends... Thanks again to you all, you are so kind

GOOD NEWS....if he's eating....I'm certain he'll be fine. You just give him extra love and snuggles. He's probably a wee bit sore...you'd be sore if you tumbled down the stairs. Now go love on that baby boy!!! PS I bet he will be a little leary of the stairs from now on...they remember things ya know
