| So angry I am not sure if this is the right place to be posting this or not I am just so angry right now I really need to vent... A couple months ago I purchased a puppy from a supposed breeder in South Florida, the dog was diagnosed with parvo and died 2 weeks later since then I have done a lot of research on the woman and have found that this has happened to numerous other customers of hers so I made a website...stopdixiepups.com in order to try and stop this awful breeder from continuing to sell sick dogs. well on my website I made a place for people to comment about where they bought their puppies. When people comment it gets emailed to me. Well today Julie (the breeder I bought my sick dog from) found the website and her husband had the audacity to comment....this is what he said... "i am armando soutullo can you please go and get lad and leave people alone looks like you need a husband to spend your time in something better get laid and you will feel better" .........Needless to say I am very angry right now! Please no one buy a dog from this breeder!!!!! |

| Thanks for the warning. I really suggest legal action. Did the puppy have at least it's first shots before you bought it? Many times parvo can be prevented with shots. They sound really immature. I would delete it and try not to let their childish ways bother you. How long after you bought the puppy did it die? did you take it to the vet when it started getting sick? I am sorry you had to go through all of this. |

| Go and get "lad." Did he mean "laid?" He can't even spell, so he might need to too. Not saying that you do. You know what I mean. Honey, don't let him piss you off. He's just sticking up for his wife.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That's awful. I've seen other posts about that place - was that you also ? IF NOT - you may want to do a search here and maybe you can band together ...have you filed a complaint against this breeder ? Since your poor puppy was ill and died I would try to see if there is anything you can do. I'm really sorry for your loss and I don't blame you for being upset. I'd be devestated too. What a coldhearted tacky thing for him (or her) to say to you. |

| IMO, The email pretty much speaks for itself. The guy is a low life idiot, and not worthy of a response. Don't lower yourself to his standard by getting into an email war with him. You can never win with people like that because they cannot be reasoned with. So your best recourse is to ignore him. |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | did you go and meet this breeder or was the puppy shipped? Thats why I frown on any breeder who is willing to ship a puppy, I think it is un-professional. You should always meet the breeder and the pups parents. I'm a future breeder and I know for a fact I will NOT send my pups to just ANYONE. IMO if a breeder is willing to ship a pup, it's all about money, most breeders I have seen who is willing to ship a pup charges a arm and a leg for there pups and if the new owner can pay that sort of price for a pup, then they can pay for a plane ticket to go pick up the pup! I'm sorry this has happened to you and I sure hope you go and meet your next breeder, If I were you I would even plan play dates with your new baby. I hope you take legal action on this breeder, she really needs stopped! |

| I met the breeder and the dogs supposed parents. Not till after the dog became sick did I find out this woman was a con artist who imports the dogs from South America she shows your her two dogs at home and says they are the parents. |

| i had this happen to me along time ago with a rotty puppy my hubby bought...the woman told me she had the pup to the vet even gave me the vets name for the shots and checkup...well three days after i had the puppy he got deathly sick so i called the vet where she told me he had his shots at and the met me in the office for an emergency call...she done a parvo test on him and it came back possitive so she kept him ofcourse...well in the meantime we was talking about the woman and she looked his records up to see what shots he had there well come to find out the breeder never had him there for any shots....the last littler of puppies she had there was like three years prior to my puppy...so he had no shots when i got him but the funny thing is when she was there three years b4 this it was for parvo and the vet told me that parvo lives in your ground for seven years so it was in her yard there was no way around the pup getting it unless she had gave all her dogs shots and pup also which she didnt....so when i got home i called the woman back and told her what was going on and that i knew the pup had no shots and she went on to say to me that i crazy that she had gave the shots herself which wasnt true either...but funny thing was she tried to tell me the dog got parvo from my house but like the vet told me parvo is in thier system for 14 days b4 they get sick with it and i only had the dog for no more than three days....but it was going to still be hard to prove this to a court until the vet called me a few days later and ask me if she could give my number to another lady that had came in for the same reason i had my pup there for and had bought a puppy from the same littler mine was from and of course i said yes i wanted to see what she had told her and come to find out her dong had parvo also and the breeder had told her the same BS she told me....and every time i called the breeder the hubby would cuss me out and i mean vulgar stuff he would say...and i just said the heck with it i mean these ppl were just trashy ppl but i did call akc on her so what ever the did to her she deserved because she wasnt taking care of her dogs and seeing to it they got the medical help the needed.....my dog lived through it and so did the other womans that came from the same litter as my pup.....it ended up costing me over 600$ to get him better but it was worth it...i got him better then found him a new home because we had to moce and couldnt have a big dog where we lived at....but all this goes to show is you cant always trust the breeders it is sad but true...alot of these ppl are just in it for a quick buck and not for the dogs....*hugs* i hope you have better luck next time and find you a baby you can love i know this loss was hard for you. |

| The parvo virus could still be active so be very careful in introducing a new puppy. According to this article, the virus lives indoors for one month, in sunny areas outside 5 months, and in shady areas outside 7 months. http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/health/parvo.htm Was the puppy actually showing signs of parvo when you got him (i.e. not drinking, not eating, foul smelling diarrhea, vomiting)? Don't want to take the side of an unreputable breeder, but most puppies will die sooner than 2 weeks if they came to you with parvo. |

| When I purchased the dog she was very tiny and ate very little but there was no blood in her stool and she wasn't throwing up. She drank very little. But other then that seemed normal, I got her on a Saturday, but Thursday morning the dog was acting very sick and lethargic so I took no chances and took her straight to the vet, she stayed at the vet and lived for 9 more days and died at the vets. Since then I have found at least 10 other people who bought their dogs from her that died of parvo as well of many others that were sick and managed to live through it. But so far everyone that has sued her has won in court but they never see any money. She claims she will send them a check and then either never does or sends them checks that bounce. Honestly I am over the money I just don't want anyone else to suffer that way I did and I dont want the poor puppies to have to suffer either. |

| It does sound like she had already been exposed to parvo before you got her. So sorry you went through this. I know you didn't have her very long, but I know it takes all of about a minute to become attached! |

| it sounds like the samething that happen to me...it is sad but these ppl are out there and they dont care for the dogs they are only in it for the money....i didnt sue the woman that lied to me because it just wasnt worth it and like you said you will never see the money anyway so why bother....the best thing is to report her the akc and anyone else who will listen and try to get the word around about her like you are doing by posting this here so others will not have to be put through what you are going through....i would becareful about getting a new puppy like the other lady said the parvo could still be there it can live along time....i know the vet told me to bleach everything in my house and as far as outside the only thing that will kill it is to burn the spots the dog pooped or peed in thats the only way....parvo is an awful thing to deal with for you and the dog.....*hugs* i hope all works well for you.....and i would also say the dog had parvo b4 you got it i know it is in thier system for 14 days b4 they show any signs on if thats what the vet told me and i only had my dog three says b4 he got deathly sick so i kno forsure he had it b4 we got him |

| I bought a purebred poodle for my son (and me ) for Christmas, it died 4 days later from Parvo too....I can symphathize with you. The sad part was--my son and I were grieving the loss of his brother/my son who was his best friend and I just wanted to bring some happiness back into his life and give him something to smile about again.....and we had to deal with death all over again!!!! The breeder knew about all of this as we had lengthy conversations before hand and he sold me a sick pup anyway!! One day he'll have to meet his maker!!! I just hope I get to run into him FIRST! His name is Terry and last I heard he moved to Woodville, MS. Guess too many people were lookin for him. |
