| Window lickers Anyone have any window lickers? and how do you get them off the window so you can open the car door open to get in without them tumbling out? I stand in the parking lot forever trying to shake Alphy off the door so I can open it. He's just too excited. Even scarier is that Abby likes to hang out the window, being a Golden she's bigger so I only roll the window down far enough for her to stand on the back seat and stick her head out. Well the other day I look in my side mirror and see Alphy's mug too. Total panic. Very cute, but scary. He was standing on the lip of the door where the lock is. He's also figured out how to roll it down further. Thankfully I have the ability to lock the windows so they can't roll up or down. I'm always afraid though that when I run into a store the dogs will unlock the doors and someone will steal them.

| Hmm, does Alphy have a car seat where he is buckled in? While Yoda can lick the window, if we open the car door, he's still inside his car seat so he won't tumble out at all. I think the safest thing would be to not leave them alone in the car, for any period of time... although that's not always possible. |

| Haven't gotten that far yet, car seat wise that is. On my list. Usually it's a quick trip to corner store. Thanks.

| If i was you i wouldnt take him in the car untill you get a car seat. Its so dangerous if you have to suddenly brake you obviously love your baby to bits so the last thing you wanna do is to risk him getting hurt. |

| Child rtestraint locks will work well with this situation. Is this what you said you have? Every car has child restrain locks...I believe. I think the door locks as well.

| Oscar is the same way! We take him EVERYWHERE we go as our job involves traveling around Alabama. If it is hot out, we leave the truck running for him (diesel is good for that!). He clamors at the door when I am getting in, but he has now learned "get back". He has fallen out a couple of times, but I was able to catch him. They make seat belt harnesses for dogs but I really don't think they would work for yorkies, altho we use one for Oscar on our Harley!!! But they are great for strapping larger dogs in the backseat and keeping them safe. I don't think Oscar would like a carseat, but you don't ever know I guess until you try. We don't have rear headrests in our truck so I don't know if it would work. I could probably rig something up. As far as the window licking, ALL of our windows in ALL of our vehicles are gunked up from Oscar's window licking...he is so funny. The windows are getting a little hard to see thru...LOL...he even licked the windows in mother in law's car when we drove to Houston last month! They are such funny little dogs!
