| Only one ear standing up Buttercup's ear stands up but, only one is. Is this normal? How long does it usually take before both stand up? I've heard about taping the ears for a week and replacing it every week to help "train" the ears to stand up. I've tried that but he takes the tape off and runs away when he sees me with the roll of tape in my hands. |

| How old is he. If one ear is standing the other one will most likely go up on its own. Jewels had one ear up one down and I cant remember what age she was when the other ear went up

| Chance has had one ear up and the other down. He is 5months old and both just went up. Just make sure you trim the hair on the ears to encourage them to go up. |

| Bella's have been flip flopping back and forth since I brought her home at 12wks. Then, for like a week, they both stood up and I was so excited!!! But lo and behold, the right one flopped back down. She's not yet 5mths so I guess we'll see... |

| Both of Parkers ears went up around 10 weeks. Now he is 16 weeks and one ear went down the other day.. I'm not sure what is going on, but I too hope it goes back up. I do keep them trimmed. |

| After Bailey's first trip to a groomer (the groomer from HE**) I was told by her his ears were "huge" and would never stand up....two days later his left went up, but after 2 weeks his right still hadn't, so we taped them. He really didn't mind it at all. We read all the threads on here, and came up with 3 different ways to tape. Hubby and I choose one and said that if it didn't work we would try another (by work we mean, stay on him for 3 days)....after 3 days we took the tape off and bam, both ears were up and have been for about a week and half........btw- I was ok with them up or down, but one up and one down, was bugging me , LOL, I am a nutso I know..

YT 5000 Club Member | I think they will both stand up if one is standing! Gidget's were down for a long time, till she was like 6 months old! Chloe's were up fast, but I also helped them out!

| It took me six weeks to get Tinkys up, but her ears are alittle heavy. Just be diligent.

| First of all your puppy is really cute! There is just a standard size for all yorkies reguardless of registration. At one time I didn't know what the differences were in all of the registries. Even though many people do not like AKC, they do seem to have higher stanards for their dogs than the other registries. I have heard that lots of pets shops and BYB's tend to use registries other than AKC. This is a thread about AKC vs ACA. But don't be fooled just because a pet shops calims AKC, some bad pet shops still use AKC or give bad paperwork. http://www.faqs.org/qa/qa-1134.html A good website that compares pet shop pups to good breeders. http://www.kerryblues.info/index.htm...PETSTORES.HTML Don't be upset about your pup's size or registration now though. As long as you love her then none of that stuff matters! |
