| How big will my yorkie be? my yorkie is 15 weeks old today and weighs about 1.7lbs and i am wondering what his adult weight might be. is it true that you double his weight at 12 weeks and get an estimate of how much he'll weigh as an adult? |

| What a tiny little guy. My new baby Matilda is 15 weeks old and weighs in at 4 lb. 11 ounces. But she is super fat, I think she will lose some weight now that she isn't eating canned food every meal like she was with the breeder.

| I guess the 12 week rule really works. Baxter was 5 1/2 lbs at 12 weeks, and matured at 11 lbs. So it's pretty accurate.

| She might be smaller than 3 lbs. Hobbs was 1.8 lbs at 8 weeks. Now he is 1 week shy of 7 months old and he has not quite broken the 3 lbs mark yet. He is probably 3 lbs. immediately after meal time. I was really worried at first about him being so small, but he is a healthy little guy!!! He knows to get out of the way of people so he doesn't get stepped on or sat on. He is just very petite |

| YES, i guess it's just like for us. people (dr's) can guess our height as children and can show us what we SHOULD weigh, at any stage in our lives, for our height, but that does NOT always become our reality does it? lol. there are estimates, approximates, but every dog i'm sure, like us, have different metabolisms, and appetites to. i wouldn't buy a lifetime of clothing banking on it..maybe just a couple hundred dollars *blush*, lol. so far i've guessed pretty darn good i would not complain if she was beefier! hugs, michelle

| Bela weighed 1 kilo at 10 weeks old, she is now 4 year old and tips the scale at an enormous 2.4 Kilo's Leo was the same weight at 10 weeks not had him reweighed yet but at the rate he is growing I expect him to be a little bit bigger than Bela. Mind you he is a Boy. PS 1 Kilo = 2.2lbs |

| When Andy was at the age to estimate his adult weight, he should have weighed about 4 lbs. at maturity. He shot up to 6.5 lbs. and is not a chubby dog at all, so I am not sure you can always rely on the calculation.
