| jack my mini yorkie Hi guys, i live in north london and i bought a yorkie at a rescue centre just before christmas, i am still not sure if he is a mini or not he is still very small and he is 8 months old. he is silver grey black and tan in colour but his legs grew longer in the past few months. I am interested to know if he is , also i know you all read about the 200 yorkies found in the uk at the pet farm, i really really want to adopt one of the puppies they had in but not sure if the new arrival will get on with Jack. can you please give me advise as to if you think it would be a good idea or not. thanks in advance Tony |

| There is no such thing as a mini yorkie, but they do come in all sizes. The standard is to be under 7 pounds. But there are yorkies that range from 1 pound, up to 20 something. The most popular being between 4 and 7 pounds. Some breeders refer to those under 4 pounds as tea cup, but there is no official category for small yorkies or large ones. What does he weigh? |

| What does he weigh. The smaller ones are usually 4lbs and less. I have two yorkies and they get along great. My breeder says yorkies do better in pairs.

| Photo's? You may/may not have any problems w/ Jack (cute name by the way) getting along w/ another Yorkie. You'll have to simply try it out and make it work and there are plenty of ways to do this! My guess is that Jack would be just fine, I'm anticipating that these poor pups from that seizure aren't exactly going to be happy/rambunctious kids! So you may get lucky and can use that to your advantage and who knows, Jack may bring them out of their shell! If you do manage to rescue one, please fill us in! There are many people here that wish we could be one of their new homes! |

| ANY dog "can" be yappy. Being in a pair has little more to do than if they're playing or "monkey see, monkey do". You'll simply need to teach them not to be, if you encounter that problem. |

| He looks to me to be the typical size of a yorkie to me, not too small in my opinion. Welcome to YT

Donating YT 14K Club Member | How old is he? I keep food down for my dogs/pups 24/7. When the bowl is empty (about once a day), I refill it. My dogs are not fat, either. Welcome to YT! Your Jack is precious but I'd consider him a regular size yorkie.
