| Pictures of my new baby girl! Well, we went to my husband's hometown to be with his family for Easter. The female yorkie puppy I posted earlier that I found but didn't know how I was going to afford her, was only about 45 minutes from my inlaws house. So I talked Hubby into taking me out there just so we could at least "look" at her. So we went. She is only 2 weeks old but we got see her and hold her. My hubby held her and that was all it took. He looked at me and said "fine. We'll do it but her name has to be Dixie!" Mr. Tough Guy!! I knew as soon as he held her, he would want her. He's really a dog lover but he has to act like a rough and tough man. So...Yogi is getting a sister!!!! She won't be ready for another couple of months but the breeder said she would send me updated photos of her all the time until she is ready for us to come get her. Anyway, her name is Dixie and I just couldn't get over how tiny she was!! Here's some pics and I will post more as the breeder sends me more! |

| Thanks guys! She is adorable and even sweeter in person! She fell asleep in my hand and was totally stretched out. The whole length of her body, including her head and her back legs stretched out, fit in my hand!! My husband got a pic of that but forgot to save it on the camera!!! I don't know how I'm going to make these next 8 weeks but I'll have to! The breeder sending pictures will help some, I hope. Not to mention, I have to and want to get Yogi total housebroke by the time his sister, Dixie, comes to live with us. So we have some work to do!! Wish me luck! Melanie |

| Beautiful baby girl. It will be hard to wait 8 weeks, but I'm sure you'll enjoy watching her grow and get ready for you. How old is Yogi (and does his name indicate you are yoga fans?). I think I've finally made progress with Sissy's potty training. After reading many threads about housebreaking techniques, I've taken the wee wee pads out of the house. I take her outside at least every two hours when I'm home with her. She goes 99% of the time and when she does, she gets a treat when we come inside. When I'm not at home, she has her own room (the downstairs bathroom, where she has her bed, toys, food and water) and she hasn't soiled in there at all for many weeks now. She also sleeps there are night. Good luck with the potty training and congrats on your new addition.

| Jodie~Yogi is almost 4 months old. I knew I wanted another yorkie and thought it would be best to get one while Yogi is still young. Yogi's name is Yogi Bear after Yogi the bear. When we got him, we thought his faced looked like a teddy bear so my son came up with Yogi. It's pretty cute to hear my 2 year old daughter yell "yogi bear, come here!" I am just so happy with the breeder who has Dixie. She was very flexible and understanding when it came to finances. She was willing to work with me and if she hadn't worked with us, we probably wouldn't have been able to get Dixie! It's going to be good seeing Dixie grow these next few months, however, I wish she was here growing with me!!! |
