| What Can I Do? Tike will use the doggie door when he wants to. He wants to go to the family room down stairs to poop. I thought he was just to lazy to go up stairs when we are in the family room, but even when we are all up stairs he will sneak down stairs to poop and sometimes pee. Today I was in the kitchen making my mom breakfast he went down stairs ro poop. the doggie door is in the kitchen.Tike will use the dogie door when he wants to.What can I do? |

| Is he pooing in the same place all the time? My friends dog was doing the exact same thing, she moved her funiture and put the TV on the spot he always used and he never did it again. I am not suggesting rearranging all your funiture but maybe make that spot unreachable. A peice of funiture or a gate or something just for a while. Just a thought, I am far from an expert!

| I had a blue blanket under my treadmill, but this morning I took it off to wash it and he went right to that same spot and poop where the blanket would have been. My husband said with the other dogs he had he always rubbed thier nose in it and they were house broke. I dont rub his nose in it I only yell if he is being caught. But today I was mad and took him to the spot and said bad dog.I dont know if that was good or bad thing to do.Tike will poop ina different spot once in a while but mostly by my treadmill. I cant move it any where else. |

| if he goes down stairs to potty put up a baby gate and restrict his accsess to that room. Then maybe he'll realize that he has to use the doggie door! |

| I know this might not be the answer you want but if he is pooping in the same spot why not put a potty pad down! And then if he goes atleast its not on your floor!

| you could always put a gate up and put a potty pad where you want him to poop. He sounds like a right lil rascal! |
