| You will not believe that this works Tucker has been driving me to distraction with his barking. I tried everything, the water bottle (he loved getting hit in the face, the little monster), the pennies in a can, which made him bark at the can, yelling, clapping....nothing worked. Well, guess what works, every time! I WHISPER! When he starts to bark I softly say "Tucker" and he looks at me. Then I start whispering "no bark, shhhhh, too noisy, no bark" And I SWEAR to you he stops every time! He comes over to me and I pet him and tell him it's ok, no bark. Hopefully eventually he'll just stop when I say no bark, but this is such a huge improvement that I'll be happy if this just works forever.

| I will have to try that. Sophie is bad to bark when people come over. It is not an aggressive bark she just gets so excited. It is funny what will work with these little boogers. Thanks for the tip. |

| I whispered to Gracie as a pup because I wanted her to pay close attention to me while we were training... now she has super-sonic hearing and can hear me whisper her name from another room...

| He was probably thinking, why is she squirting me with water and shaking a noisey can at me.....All she had to do is tell me to stop barking softly and I'd listen...hahahaha. He is too smart for the dog stuff, just talk to him like a human. |

| I need to try that!!! Fingers crossed it works for Ella too. I am using the water spray at the moment but she is too clever and knows where it is kept so she will bark in other places. |

| Thank you for the suggestion!! I will be sure to try this on my little loudmouth!! I do the pennies in a can thing and Nikko hates it but many times hubby winds up getting scared out of his wits too!! This would be a much easier and less scary way to shut Nikko up. I hope it works!!
