| Hair Growth??? My Missy is 8 month now, just had her first heat. She is 10 pounds, big girl, but she is yorkie, not a mix.My question is :her hair is really short, about 3 inch, howerver the coloring is beautiful, gold and dark silver,I'm worry about the hair growth, other yorkie in her age have long hair.I met one lady in petstore with yorkie and she said that her yorkies hair just started to grow when she was 2 yr. old which is hard to believe. Is it possible that my yorkies hair stay this short,I really want her to have long beatiful hair, maybe there some products that help hair growth?

| Some yorkies hair grows slower than others and thats what hers sounds like. I use Missing Link and its good for hair and skin. I get it at Petsmart.

| My mom and I have 11 month old sisters from the same litter. Mom's dog, Little Bit, has shorter, thinner hair that is turning very blue and will be silky. My dog, Susan, has much longer, thicker hair that is still almost entirely black and is cottony. From what we read, the silky coats take longer to come it at first. I think you just have to be patient. Up until recently Susan was WAY prettier than Little Bit because her coat was so much fuller. But now you can start to see what a beautiful dog Little Bit is going to be as her coat gets longer and silkier and shinier all the time. |
