| Leaving yorkie too young? I have to go somewhere for 3 days next month, but my yorkie's only 4 months old. Will my absence ruin everything that I'v trained my puppy to do and traumatize her? Any suggestions or comments please. Thank you |

| Hey, you are the first person I have seen from hawaii, we are moving there, yay!!! Anyway you are in bonding time, but if you leave very strict instructions with the person caring for the puppy it should be fine, maybe they can not do too much damage in three days. It will probably be confusing for the pup though.

| I can't imagine that three days should alter your puppy's behavior much. You may have to spend a day or two getting back into your routine when you get home. But, I can't imagine any lasting problems. Plus - try to have whoever is caring for your pup continue as much as possible with the routine you have established. Try to think of it as "your puppy have a three-day vacation" while you're gone. When you get home, he'll think "Oh no, here we go again!!!!" Good luck - Carol Jean |

| Last year I had to leave Rowdy for 2 weeks when he was 3 and 1/2 months old. I left him with my daughter and he did just fine. I too, was worried that he would regress - but he didn't. Just be sure to leave explicit instructions with whomever you leave him with and it should be fine! I know you feel terrible about having to leave him - I did too, but it worked out just fine! Good luck
