healthy coat Can anyone tell me what are the best vitamins to give a Yorkie to maintain a healthy shiny coat. My Yorkie's hair is rather dry feeling and I was wondering if I could give her a supplement to make it look a little healthier. Thanks guys!!

suppliments Advise from several vets...if you feed a quality dog food, they do not need a vitamin. Use a good shampoo and conditioner, exercise and a bit of sunshine is all most Yorkies need to maintain a good coat. Some people add a bit of cooking oil to the food..but if you put a handful of quality dry kibbel on a paper towel you will see there is plenty of oil in it. I find adding oil only makes the whiskers messy. JMO

Sometimes i give Mojo fish oil?? The name of the product is Lipiderm and it comes in gel capsules (not messy) but it is kinda hard making them swallow it..lol I offered for abour 40 days and saw difference in his skin... But like YorkieRose said, the food is the main thing...the best supplement would not do much without the proper nutrition.

I bought my lil one Missing Link. You can find it at petco. It's a powder and you just sprinkle it on to their food. I love it!

missing link I have heard Missing Link is very good for coats if they are dry. IS it a vitamin suppliment..I have been a bit leery of them since my friend had so much trouble with suppliments and her breeding females. I might try it and see if I see a difference using it or not..thanks for the infomation.
