| Stupid Dog tricks I love stupid dog tricks1 I've taught a lot of them to my dog such as balancing a biscuit on his nose, bark on command, begging for food, etc... I wonder what other kinds of stupid dog tricks people have taught their dogs. Does anyone have some cute, funny or very stupid ones they want to share? |

| I just taught Sully, by YT's advice, to beg yesterday. He's so sharp at it and I'm so proud! I would love to know what tricks and HOW they can be taught! I love getting Sully to learn new things. Bark on command? How is that done?

| Ranger knows how to "sit up" which looks like begging, he plays dead when he hears/sees "bang bang", and of course knows come, sit, stay, lay, rollover, speak, shake, and stand. They are such smart little boogers!!

| My dog loves to open presents. I will wrap up a toy and she will dig and dig unil its open. Silly, but I think its cute to watch her. |

| My niece taught Gus how to do what she calls nosies. It is the Eskimo kiss. I thought he would just lick her but he rubs her nose with his. Another trick he does is untie my shoes for me. He started that one on his own. Now I tell him I want to relax and he undoes them for me.

| Sweetie can "turn a little twirl", shake, lay down, sit pretty (begging?), roll over, and she will speak with barking (it's really cute!). She also gives grandma & grandpa "sugar" before we leave their house. Something she does that we didn't teach her is what we call the "Sweetie Shuffle". She scuffs her back legs back, one at a time, twisting her body as she does it - it kind of looks like "moon walking" - but much cuter than Jacko . She does it when she wants our attention or wants to play. Cyndi |

| It doesn't take long at all to teach these little sweeties tricks! A day on each one is all it took Snoodles to learn them. I wasn't sure about the jumping through the hoop thing, abut she took right to it. Just had to follow my hand with the treat in it. She looks so cute when she is dancing, and showing off in her dresses! Gottta Love 'Em! Pat |

| My husband will sit a football on his knee, like you would place it for a field goal kick. He has taught Lillie to run at it and hit it with her nose and send it across the room. BTW, she has figured out how to pick the full sized football up by the small end and drag it around the house with her! |

| We tell Chachi would you rather be (someones Name) or dead using the gun signal and he plays dead. Thats our best stupid trick so far but we are always looking for new ones.

| Lucy knows kiss kiss (where she attacks our faces with kisses!) We have taught her to count to 4 for treats by giving paw for 1 2 3 and 4, we tried to teach her 'too far' when she cant be bothered to bring toys etc to us, but she imitated our voices! |

| dog tricks Wow !! I'm getting an inferiority complex.... I have an 18 wk. baby girl, whom I've had since 12 wks. and all I have been able to teach her in this time is "sit". For the last 2 consecutive weeks we've been working on "lay down" but I can't get her to do it. I try gently pushing her down and showing her the treat as I lower it to the floor, but nothing. I tried by starting in the sitting position then taking her front legs and bringing them forward, but she resists . I have praised her, I give her treats..no success..I have suceeded in getting her to run the other way when she sees me coming with the treats.. so.. since this has become a torture session for both of us, I've decided to stop for a while.. |
