| Argh!!! Vet Vent!!! Argh!!! I was soo annoyed! nevermind having to wait nearly an hour before getting into an examination room, but another 30 minutes in the exam room only to find out from the vet tech that bunjee can't get his vaccines today 'cause his records show he had an allergic reaction before and will need some antia-allergy med before before his vaccines and will need to be held for observation for a few hours before letting him go. Now, I don't mind the vet being extra careful, what i'm annoyed with is that i had to wait 90 minutes before finding out i'll need to reschedule the appointment for sometime earlier in the day. I opted to go ahead and give him his heartworm test but never got the results because we waited yet another 30 minutes before I just had to leave. I was going to be late for class. so 2 hours at the vet's with nearly nothing done. well, that's 2 hours out of our lives we'll never get back. wtf! |

| i go to banfield and signed up for their wellness plan. it seemed like a good idea at the time. you sign up for a one year contract. i'm beginning to think that banfield is just too busy. when i left there were 6 or 7 pets waiting outside in the lobby. i couldn't even get a receptionist to reschedule because they were so busy. i'm going to have to call back for a rescheduled appointment. |

| Ahhh...got it. Isn't Banfield connected with PetSmart? I considered it for a while too but decided against it. I like the vet we have. |

| yeah, banfield is the pet hospital connected to petsmart. bunjee's my first puppy and i didn't know how often i'd visit the vet and all the vets i've called in the city are like $50 per office visit plus cost of shots, meds, etc. kinda insane. so i thought banfield's wellness plan was a pretty good deal... well i guess what i don't pay in money, i'm paying with wasted time from my life. :mad |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | For this reason alone - I have a problem with doctors...I LOVE my vet - but have that same problem with regular human doctors...it's like OUR time isn't important.... yet theirs is and we don't even get an "I'm sorry" when we've waited HOURS after making an appointment.... In your case - I'm glad they are going on the side of caution - but you're right - they sure could have told you that BEFORE you made and showed up for your appointment. |

| I agree! However for any other new mommy's you might check around. My vet had a new puppy program. The program included all of the shots as well as spaying. Quote:
