| Hair To Cut Or Not To Cut? Summer is coming soon and I think I may want to cut my Yorkie's hair. http://i1.tinypic.com/sfyq9d.jpg http://i1.tinypic.com/sfz977.jpg We live a very active life and the Yorkies will be swimming, camping and motorcycle riding when the weather warms up, but I don't want to cut their ponytales. Any suggestions? |

| Hey I am with Kimberly on this one. Puppy cut on the body like Oscar has in his Avatar and leave the head alone...you can have their ponytail that way...and what biker don't have a good ponytail!!! They will need a do-rag tho to keep that hair in place on the bike!!! You have some beautiful Yorkies there!!!

| I know I love them long, but both of them get matted so bad. Sebi has big cotton candy hair and sweet pea has thin cotton candy and they always get matted under their arms with the harness. I am torn... |

| The matting under the harness was why I cut Oscar's in the first place. That and he hated the brush...with a passion! Mortal enemies they were!

| They sure are beautiful babes...I think no matter how you get them cut they will still be adorable, but their ponytails are so cute, If there is a way to keep them, while cutting the rest, thats what I would do.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I took Chanel to a groomer and she went a little NUTS...but they did NOT cut the hair on her head - it was really a cute cut and easy to take care of - if you plan on being super active - I would go with what everyone said - cut down the body ...leave the hair long so it can be pulled up and just trim the face.... This was Chanel with her short hair...she had 2 bad cuts - this is the GOOD one |
