| Oh! I Could Cry Right Now Literally I came home and when I went to grab the slicker comb I notice a long strand of golden hair. I then automatically looked at Ruby's topknot hair and it was missing a piece. My niece had somehow gotten a hold a a pair of scissors and cut it. I am so up set I could cry. I feel like grabbing something and just shatering it as hard as possible against a wall to relieve my anger. I have cared for her coat from day one. Now how long is it is going to take to blend back in . GRRRRRRRRRRRR. I just can't stop thinking about it. All that work for nothing. I am just fuming right now. Please can someone tell me how long is it going to take to grow back out. You guys have no idea how devasted I am. |

| I know that Cricket and Bubba's hair grows really fast. Maybe 1/2" a month or more. I am so sorry to hear about her hair. Can you still get it up in a bow until it grows out? Do you have any pictures so we can get an idea how bad it is and then give advice? I truly am sorry and your girl is still a beauty! |

| No worse than when my sister - then many years later my daughter - and then more recently, my granddaughter -- cut their own hair, which their mother's had taken years to grow. You need to remember that you have a Yorkie -- and Yorkies have more hairstyles and haircuts than any other breed has -- and they look darling in every one of them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I feel like grabbing something and just shatering it as hard as possible against a wall to relieve my anger. I have cared for her coat from day one. Now how long is it is going to take to blend back in . GRRRRRRRRRRRR. I just can't stop thinking about it. All that work for nothing. I am just fuming right now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Is your little niece still in one piece???? Seriously, I am sure your little Yorkie was darling before you grew her topknot, while you were growing it, while she had it, and again now. So - all your work wasn't done for nothing........ My pup has short hair and he's very cute!!!!! Grow hair grow!!!!!!!! Carol Jean |

| Deep breath!! You are going to be fine, and so is your pup. It will grow back! Kids will be kids! They will always play with scissors if they find them out. Next time they visit, make sure you keep your girl with you at all times.

| Sorry I can imagine how you feel as when twice I took my girl to be groomed and they cut her hair so short I couldn't even put a bow in it- ggrrrr- but come back down to earth and remember how lucky you are to have your Yorkie and your niece. I hope you feel better today and you will tell this story on your niece for years to come- "Remember when you cut my Yorkie's hair and...." You can embarass her for ever. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOL !! IS she practicing to be a Hair Stylist ? I remember cutting ALL my dolls hair....not one doll survived that little episode. It takes a while for the hair to grow back....in the meantime - I bet it looks VERY CUTE ...When Chanel had that awful puppy cut ...it was about 1-1/2 years ago ?? I think ) and her head hair goes clear down her back now...if the hair grows fast - it will grow back before you know it |

| I am so very sorry, and Yes, I can imagine how upset you are ..... I have noticed several "hair cutting" stories..... here is mine When my daughter was 5 she had very long beautiful blonde hair which had never been "cut" only trimmed. I was a very busy stay at home mom. For about a week I had been saying I need to trim Kimmie's hair, I need to trim Kimmie's hair, but just never seemed to find the time. Well, my sons, age 6 and 7 decided to "help mom out" and took matters into their own hands. I am so very glad that they only "trimmed" one chunk of hair. I could have spit nails. |

| Oh I am so sorry...poor Ruby! I am just glad to hear it was just her topknot...one wrong move and it could have been an ear! It will grow back faster than you think. Oscar's grows like weeds and we keep him clipped...like he has to go every 4 to 6 weeks! I know it does not help the way you feel now, but it will be back in time! So sorry you had to suffer thru this but it WILL be o.k....in time!

Like any "bad" haircut, it'll grow back. Be glad your neice didn't decide Ruby needed an "all over" trim
