| eating food outside the food bowl? for a long time, bunjee was eating his dry food inside the food bowl, like he's suppose to. nowadays he's grabbing a mouthful of food and setting it down somewhere on the carpet to eat. anyone know what's up with that? |

| Cookie is 2 yrs old and does that once in a while. Lola is 3 months old and does it everyday. She takes 1 little piece of kibble and sits down and chews, chews and chews. Then gets up again and goes to get another 1-2 kibble pieces and walks away with it and chews it up .She eats all her food and that's what I like. She doesnt make a mess because she licks all the crumbs too Genie |

| Illy is 3 months and does this. She takes a few pieces and runs to the other end of the apartment and eats it. Then she repeats it. She's nutz, but I still love her.

| Yeah, Bobby never eats from the bowl. He gets a mouthful and takes it somewhere else to eat, then goes back for more. I have no idea why he does this but it doesn't bug me. Julie |

| Sheila has never eaten out of the bowl. She'll take one piece walk away from the bowl and proudly show me that she's eating it! I think the smaller ones are maybe more prone to eating like this. I free feed her and at 3 pounds she really doesn't eat much so she may as well make the most of it |

| All of my yorkies have always been "eat on the go" pups! In fact, sometimes they'll really get into it and throw a piece of kibble up in the air to catch it or bring it to me to toss (which I then draw the line). I think it is hilarious!! I wonder if this is a yorkie trait or if other breeds do it too. As long as they are eating enough, I suppose I've never really thought about trying to redirect their eating habits.

| Both of my yorkies refuse to eat out of a bowl at all... only off of a plate or the floor! And they each eat only one piece at a time. Pivo will scrape one piece off of the plate, off of the placemat, onto the floor before he eats it. We think if his food was ever put in a bowl again, he would starve to death! |

| My girls will do the same thing! Daisy will grab a mouthful and go somewhere to eat it. But Chloe will get 1 pc of kibble at a time, walk away and then chew it and go back and get another pc! It drives me nuts but as long as they are eating I guess its ok!

| Twinkie doen't really do this as I think she is too excited with the idea of food, but my Princess chi does this all the time, sometimes she leaves them on the floor or in the bed and doesn't eat them so you end up stepping on them or rolling on them in bed...

| Aggie will not only eat in her bowl, she will sit by the bowl and wait for her food. She also inhales her food! I count her kibbles. She gets 26 (Natural Balance, dry) each meal (easier for anyone in the family to feed her). They are gone, literally, in 10 seconds. I barely have anytime to put her kibble jar back in the cabinet. |

| Gizmo does this sometimes too. I think its because they are so small that its just in their nature to take the food away from the bowl and off somewhere safe where they can insure that they will be the one to get to eat it!
