| Dry Skin Sorry for the repeat but I got no response in the other section. Anyone elses pup got dry skin? Tino has it on his legs but it doesnt seem to bother him - he doesnt scratch it or anything. To be honest, it just looks like dandruff? Any ideas what it is? Or suggestions how to stop it? |

| Maybe us an oatmeal shampoo. I also put Missing Link on my dogs food. It is good for the skin and coat. I get it at petsmart.

| I have been using Dream Coat with Jackson for the past 2 weeks or so and it has made a world of difference with his dry skin. I would definitely recommend it!! Lis

| Using a conditioner when bathing helps. I leave conditioner on Twinkie for a few minutes when I bath her to make sure it really moisturizes her hair & skin.

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Abbie shows no signs of dry skin (yet); but, our mixed-breed, Mozart has suffered with dandruff-type flakies all his life - until.....I recently started using Pet Silk concentrated shampoo and conditioner. It's pretty pricey @ $22.00/16oz; but because it's concentrated, well worth the money. The shampoo and conditioner can be diluted (in fact, should be diluted) up to 16:1. I find a 10:1 ratio works best for us. Anyway...I've used it twice on Mozart, and not ANY sign of flakies on his bum! I've used many different brands from the vet, btw - oatmeal, medicated, etc. - to no avail. So glad my Pet shoppe friend in town put me on to this product!

| When you bathe, use a conditioner and mix it in a container of water and add a just a few drops of oil, either pet silk oil, or the oil by Chris Christensen. Do not put too much conditioner in and make sure it is mixed well. Pour over your dog, and do not rinse it out, leave it in. It helps the skin, and the hair. |

| Hello, My little girl has that and the vet told me it is because of the weather and being so cold outside and warm inside. She reccomended to put 5 drops of omega fish oil in her food every day and that should helped. Have only been doing it for a week now but we can see a difference. Muireann
