Doggie Day Camp I took Dezi today to Doggie Day Camp. I did not want to leave her alone all day. I work in the City and will not be home until 6:30. My son usually stops by to play with her and feed her at lunch time, but he was not able to stop by today. So I decided to take her to Doggie Day Camp at Petsmart (they just opened up a couple of months ago). She seemed fine when I left (she is 13 weeks old). I was a little concerned because she is so small. I just called and they told me she was a little shy with other dogs. She would go out to play and as soon as the other puppies approached her, she would run and sit on one of the workers lap. I thought that was so funny. I really want her to be social with other dogs. If she does well today, I may take her at least 1 day a week so she can interact with other puppies.

I bet she will because she is a little terror at home. Biting, running and hiding underneath the bed!

How neat! I wish the Petsmarts here in MI offered a doggy day camp. I don't work during the day but it would be nice to be able to get Bella around other dogs. She's 14 weeks now and anytime she see's other dogs (which is quite often since we live in one of the few complexes around here that allow dogs) she barks and growls! I take her to Petsmart to walk around and she doesn't growl our bark there, but she hides behind my legs. Guess it's time to enroll her in puppy classes.

| Our next step is socializing our dog with other dogs but we are going to use dog parks for this. There is this place called Pete & Mac's that is like a resort for dogs that have a daycare as well that we are thinking about leaving her when we go out of town. I have been reading good things abou this place so if one is in your town check it out. www.petemac.com

She does not bark around other dogs, she does hide between my legs and wants to be picked up. She loves to socialize with people. If I am walking her and she sees someone, she starts wiggling her tail really fast and approaches them. If they ignore her, she runs after them. She started puppy school on Sunday and she sat on my lap all the time. I would put her on the floor and she would cry so I would pick her up. The other dogs finally left her alone and then she sat on the floor and started wiggling her tail at the dog owners. We have to work on her puppy socializing skills. LOL

All I can ever imagine is all the dogs with their backpacks and lunch boxes. Puppies sit in front, big dogs in the back. Everyone face front, no barking, whining, and definitely no growling That would mean a trip to the principal's office The little bus has paw prints on the side Dezi says she knows people are nice....they have treats
