| First bath?? Adrianna is coming home next Saturday, April 1st. Just wondering how long I should wait to give her first bath here? Her breeder has given her 1 bath so far.

| We gave our pups a bath when they were about 4 weeks old. Just did it quickly, wrapped them up in a dryer-warmed towel and they were dry before it even cooled off. |

| I gave Tank a bath the week he came home. He was 11 weeks old when he had his first. I would suggest putting a towel in the dryer to warm. I dry Tank off with a normal towel and then wrap him in the warm one. He just curls up on the warm one while I blow dry him. I was also told to make sure to bathe or dry him in a warm room. |

| I am so happy to find this group- I spent way too much time reading the archives yesterday- it's addictive! I bathed both of mine within a few days of bringing them home. Gracie was 8 weeks and Spike was 9 weeks. Spike fought me like a wild thing so you might find it less stressful (for you) to have a helper near by. I also didn't wash their heads the first time which made it much easier. Good luck! |

| I gave Dezi a bath 1 week after she was home. The vet told me to wait a week so she can get use to the new environment and temperature of the house. Your baby is adorable! |

| We picked up Katia and took her straight to the groomers. She was 8 weeks. Enjoy your puppy.

| My Yorkie had his first bath at 8 weeks when I brought him home. I had to bath him weekly after that because he had such terrible oily hair. However, now that his terrible puppy hair has been cut off - he has a wonderful coat and needs to be bathed only every two weeks or so....or even less. My advise is bath your puppy as often as he needs it... but try not to bath him oftener than once a week. Carol Jean |

| Puppy bath I had to baby my little yorkie within a week of her coming home she was 2 wks. She was sticky and when she would pee it left her fur wet and when she drinks her water her whole mouth gets soaked so when she would eat t here would be crumbs stuck to eat lol she is to cute. So she needed her bath right away. I have only given her to baths and she is gonna be 3 months soon and she isn't used to it. I make sure the water is nice and warm not hot or cold but just right and then I put a towel next to the heater for her and b4 I 'm getting ready to get her out I make my mom remove the towel so it's not to hot when she gets out the bath. That is her favorite part of the bath or should I say her only favorite part of bathing lol. |
