For example when i come home and open the door there he is, what if he runs away while i open the door? He hasn't ran away yet but i have a great feeling he will soon Is there anything i can do. |

| Rocky's Dad We have taught Rocky to sit at the door until we tell him ok. When we go to the door we tell him to sit. I had the same problem with our older dog and saw this on yorkie talk and thought we would try it and it really works. |

| I know this might be a pain in the a$$ but I thought it was a great suggestion from another member until you get your little one trained but put a small doggy gate at the front door. This way you can practice with your little one and people can step over the gate but he/she can't dart out and possibly get hit by a car.
