BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Bully Stix? are they safe? I have been given Kloey bully stix, and I'm usually in the room when she is eating on them, I never give them to her when she is in her crate alone. But the other day my Husky got a hold of a small piece that was left and she must have thrown it up cause I found it on the patio like she threw up, and the small piece of bully stix was in the mess. My question is... do you throw away the end of the bully stix? Now last night Kloey was on my lap eating it and she ate the hole thing, but I was so paranoid that she was going to choke on the end of it. Bit she didnt! |

| I heard they are safe because they are digestable. I havent gotten them for my dogs yet because I cant find them anywhere. You are in Indiana too. Where did you find them?

| I've asked the same thing in the past because mine LOVE LOVE LOVE bully sticks! They go through one each almost every week, but from the research I've done, they seem to be one of the safest alternatives on the market. They appear to be totally digestable and don't get hung in their teeth or the back of their throats like traditional white rawhides. I just try to watch closely for when they've chewed them to around 2 inches - then to the trash with them. I don't want any choking dangers!!

| I rarely give them to Shelby b/c they make her agressive and she wants to gulp down the whole thing. She has barfed them up too. |

| Punkin Loves them! She really chews them up. We take it away from her when it gets to be smaller. It only takes her an hour to eat about 3/4 of one. It's hard to entice the small piece away from them. Thankfully she doesn't growl about it. |

| I throw away the ends. I usually buy the 12" ones rather than the 6" so they last longer, since I still throw away the last 2 inches or so. I also look for the thickest ones, since those take longer. I am able to get them at several local dog "boutiques" They have the Merrick brand, which I really like. We tried the ones from petsmart once and they were smelly, gross, and I didn't feel right about it. The Merrick ones are made in the USA and they stand behind their products. Anyway, I recently ordered from Merrick because I wanted to save some money. I paid about $1 less per stick and got free shipping!

| I heard on another thread (can't remember which one) that their vet said they were not digested very well? Anyway I give mine Healthy Edibles by Nylabone and knuckle bones from the butcher.
