| good news and bad news... Well the good news is my sister is taking me along with her family to disney in october! ive never been and im so glad i get to share the experience with my neices and nephews...bad news is i'll be gone for a whole week! Sirius and i havent been apart for more than one whole day since i got him. i live with my parents, so its not a problem of getting someone to watch him while im away, im just dreading being apart from him for so long! i dont want him to be sad while im away. im so happy and so sad to leave him all at the same time. i guess i dont really have a point with this thread, i just needed to vent. my parents think im over reacting and that he'll be fine. i just know im going to miss him so much! have any of you had to leave your baby behind for a long period of time?? if so how did you cope with missing them so much? how were they when you got back??

| Aww, what a great Momma you are. No, you're not overreacting at all, it is tough on you and your Yorkie if you are not with them for a long period of time. He will be fine, as you do trust your parents with Mr. Pink. We usually take a few pictures of Yoda with us and prop it up in our hotel room and we always acknowledge him as if he was there, like say "Good morning" and "Good night Yoda!". We also called Yoda too and said a few words to him on the phone. He's always soooooooooo happy when we get back! |

| I don't think you are over reacting at all. It is difficult to leave our furbabies for any lenght of time at all! So I understand where you are coming from!!!! But he will be ok!!!! I am sure your parents will take good care of him and will keep on spoiling him rotten!!! When I left last year on vacation for a week, my friend stayed at my house, and she was getting sooooo irritated with me, because I kept calling home every single day and sometimes 2 or 3 times a day!!!! LOL! But when I did get home, OMG, Luigi was soooooooooo happy to see me!!! He wouldn't let me out of his sight for anything!! He was attached to my hip!!!!! Not that he wasn't anyways, but...!!!!! ANd he didn't want to go to sleep for anything!!! He just wanted to play and play!!! I loved it!!!!!! He missed me too, but he was ok!!!!! We survived!!! LOL

| I know where you are coming from. When my husband and I got married we had a 2wk. honeymoon and left my 4 kids and my 12wk. old yorkie with my step mom. It was the longest 2wks of my life. Just last summer we went on a wk long vacation and left the yorkie with my sister. We almost got divorced over that one. I told him next time he plans a vacation he better plan on the yorkie too. If not he could take the kids and I'd stay with the dog. LOL Seriously, everything will be fine. You are not overreacting though. I totally understand were you're coming from. |

| Not a nerd to us. We all know exactly how you are feeling.. But, these little critters get along better without us than we do without them. They are so adaptable and just get on with things while we worry, grieve, feel guilty and all that.. Your baby will be fine, though. |

| Leave something for ur Yorkie I find that animals and babies are similar when it comes to mommy leave something of yours like a shirt or sock that smells of you and leave it in ur Yorkies bed or sleeping area so when she nods off to sleep it's like u never left cuz she can still smell ur scent. Hope you read this b4 ya leave ur puppy will be happy. |
