| Age in which ears stand up At what age do yorkie's ears typically begin to stand up? Any suggestions on how to ensure they do? |

| Our Toto's ears were standing up when we got her at 16 weeks. The breeder said they had just "popped" up! That's my only "ear experience" so hopefully there will be other members who have dealt with ear issues. Good luck!

| I need help too Chance is 16 weeks old and he has one ear up and one ear down. I tried to tape his one ear but he manages to get the tape off every time. Will his ear stay like that or will it go up? |

| When I first layed eyes on Chloe at the breeder home, she was only 9 days old. And I remember her ears standing up. But, after she got teeth, it went back down. She is 10 weeks old and they are still down. She is teething terribly, so I think that is why. We may bring her to our groomers to shave the excess hair when she gets up to 12 weeks, so her ears will stand. Lacey's ears did not stand up until 6 months. She had floopy ears until we took her to the groomers. And they stood straight up for the rest of her life.

| I am a new Yorkie owner, our Benji is 14 weeks old, and his ears are still down as well. He was the largest of the litter, will probably be about 9 lbs., the rest of the litter all had their ears up already, so I didn't know if his size had anything to do with his ears still being down. I have shaved them, but I would like to know more about this ear massage - do you just rub them? for how long? I don't want to have to tape, and I do not want to use super glue as I have heard done. I was going to ask if anyone has heard of, or used, ear putty? But it sounds like they will eventually stand on their own. Has anyone ever not had their ears stand? |

| I know, sounds horrible doesn't it! Don't worry - it's not an option for me, I love our little Benji, even if his ears never stand. However, I know that some vets use a type of super glue instead of stitches sometimes, and it did eventually wear off my fingers when I got some on me, so it probably isn't as bad as it sounds. But I don't like the fact that once it is done, it can't be undone for a while, unlike taping or this ear putty stuff. |

| Ears up? What do u mean when will the ears go up? I'm new to this whole yorkie family stuff, so I just figured her ears will stay down. My yorkie is gonna be 3 months in a couple of days and her ears just hang down are they supposed to point up as she gets older????? I thought some dogs had ears that point up and some had ears that hand down. Any Yorkie owners out there help me out with this one please. |
