| Potty outside I took Illy for her first walk the other day because it was soooo wonderful outside. She did good and seemed to like it pretty well. She didn't even fight with the leash. I do have a question though. I live in an apartment so I am wee-wee pad training her. She's got that down pat now. When I took her for her walk I figured she would just potty during the walk, but she didn't. She waited until I brought her back inside to go potty on her wee-wee pad. Can this be confusing for her?

| I think it can be confusing for them. Many years ago when my poodle had puppies, I had them paper trained when I sold them. One owner called to tell me she could not get the puppy to go potty outside...he would only go on the paper inside. I suggested she take the paper outside and see if he'd get the hang of it. Maybe you could take a wee -wee pad outside to let her know it's okay to go potty outside? I don't know what else to say, but I can understand why they could be confused on that issue. Maybe if she sees other dogs going potty outside...or smells that they do it outside?

| Doesn't sound like she's confused to me. She knows pottying is to be done on the pads. Walking is just a fun adventure. Now if you start expecting her to go outside, that might confuse her!
