| this is what I found. A yorkie consits of , Waterside terrier , clydsdale terrier ,paisley terrier , rough coated english terrier , Sky terrier , Dandie Dinmont terrier ,and a Maltese. I found this on three different sites . true or false ?

| Did you ever notice how many of these sites have the exact same information on them? The original yorkies were bred by using several different breeds. I would think that the information you found was true. |

| Probably true - But, please remember that all breeds have come from cross breeding a number of different breeds to achieve a special breed all it's own. The first dog was the "wolf" --- and it has never quit since then...... Today, there are approximately 256 different breeds registered with the American Kennel Club. I think at this point, it is interesting, but not important which different dogs were breed to come up with the breeds we lknow and love today. I have a Bichon and can similarly come up with breeds that were probably bred to come up with this enchanting little guy. I'm glad it happened because he is a wonderful little pet --- as is my Yorkie. Carol Jean |
