| Looking For Love? I've been reading the Morkie debate since yesterday and also several posts about people wanting Yorkies at a reasonable price. THERE ARE SOME REAL CUTIES ON www.yorkshireterrierrescue.com. There is also a yorkiepoo on that site. If you are looking for a lifetime of love, kisses, and gratitude, plus a really good feeling of having helped someone.....please adopt a dog who needs a home. Again, I have no connection with YTR, I just know the great feeling you get when you adopt a dog that really needs your love. |

| Thank you so much for your post!!! I have placed 14 week old puppies and 6 year old adults in the same home..They are happy as clams-the age is a non-issue when it comes to taking a Yorkie, either purebred or mix, into your heart and home...The important thing is to consider your understanding of the breed, the match between human and dog, and the time and expectations you have to train your baby in your home. I refer people to rescues all the time. I rarely have a puppy to place that has not already been matched with a new owner and I want those rescues to have loving caring homes. Sure, they come with issues. So do puppies many times.. Yorkies are not easy puppies/dogs to assimilate into your home and family, but oh, so worth every bit of time and energy you put into them..I never met a Yorkie I didn't love. I hope y'all find them as loving as I do. |

| I don't think this post generated much interes, and that is a shame. Thank you Whispersmom.....you know how great the little rescues can be. This time, I bought a puppy from a breeder because I was so devasted about losing Gracie and Scruffy and just really didn't want to go through a lot of health issues. I feel sure there is another "rescue" in my future though! For people wanting Yorkies at a good price, I can only reiterate how wonderful rescues can be. Sad that no one has really shown interest in them on this site. |

| I completely agree. Rescues and pound dogs are wonderful (Sandy is proof of that! ) Thanks for the post. I think if we continue to get the word out there, someone, somewhere may hear what we're saying I love that page, I have it bookmarked and always go to it to see who's there. We have a rescue and a pure breed, and now I'm trying to decide what's next

| Our big dog is a pound rescue. We've had her and loved her for 9 years nearly. This dog would give her life for us, and is so cute with the little ones. After we lost Gracie and Scruffy and brought Lexy home (at 1 lb.!), Cinder looked at me as if to say "Mama, you know I'm too old to raise another one!" Now she is playing with Lexy like she did with Gracie. It is sooo cute to see an 80 lb. dog playing with a 1 1/4 lb. puppy! She is so gentle with her and makes Lexy feel so BIG!!!!! I wouldn't trade Cinder for any dog in the world! Gracie was my heart, but Cinder has a very big part of me forever! |

| Yup - Sandy seems to appreciate every single little thing. "Oh wow, Mom - you're feeding me? Thank you SO much, let me lay on my back and wag my tail until it falls off..." - she's just too cute!

| pups I used to keep all my Yorkies until they went to Rainbow Bridge..then I realized I was not doing what was best for MY Yorkies. I have retired all ages..even a 7 year old champion. Chopper is still doing wonderful at 15 yrs..a doted on pet, I could not do that for him, I had too many then. There have been a few that I thought would not adjust, but there is a perfect home for any pet, might take time to sort them through, but Whispersmom and I know this for a fact. |
