| Hello to All! My Yorkie, Beans, is 7 months old. Right after my husband and I were married, I started to get baby fever. He surprised me with Beans on my b-day, and let me tell you, it has cured the baby fever. What a handful!!! Is it normal for them to be so co-dependent? Everywhere I go, he's right there. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I've never had a dog that wasn't independent until now. Can you give me some pointers? |

| Yup, Yorkies can be practically tied to your hip. I think that's part of the charm. Usually, people find by adopting another Yorkie, that it helps... a bit! No, but seriously, they really love their human parents and always do want to please them. They'll follow you anywhere and everywhere. |

| Welcome! I think they are all like that,, Shadows. And I so get the, curb your baby thoughts, I wasn't ever really sure if I wanted kids,(didn't really have that longing) then I got Bailey,, then I was sure I didn't , they are a handful. But so worth the effort.

| Funny how these men are... After begging my honey (for over 2 yrs!) to get a small dog, he relented shortly after I started bringing up babies. Now I remember (after 8 1/2 yrs) how tiring and challenging having a little one can be! Bella freaks when I leave the room. When we are in bed, if I get up to pee (she's crated next to the bed) she starts howling and whining. |

| Thanks for the input!! I also have one more question. The vet gave me some liquid antibiotics, but he fights us every time we try to give it to him. He's so strong!! My husband holds him while I try to pry his mouth open, but of course, no luck! What do you suggest? |

| Welcome to YT. Have you tried squirting the liquid in the corner of his mouth, between his back teeth? Sometimes this helps. (you have to do it fast, though). Your baby is adorable.

| Oh he is so cute and I love the name Beans Yorkies are very co-dependent especially to their momma's and daddies That's part of what makes them so special, they get to be a little more independent as they get older. As far as the antibiotics put them in his food, I think that's the best Georgie doesn't like taking meds either. Oh and welcome to YT glad to have you and Beans here

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | I can relate Quote:
I can relate to the baby fever, I have 3 daughters from a previous marriage of 11 years, after I divorced and married my husband who has no children, I felt that I needed to give him a child, but after having my tubes tied, I would have to have a reversal, well it was just not in the cards for us to have a child together, he really didnt care one way or the other, it was more me wanting the baby, but Kloey cured me of the fever! Really she is just like an infant, she has needs that I have to meet for her everyday! And yes, they are very dependent on us, Kloey follows me around everywhere, she wants to go bye bye when ever I leave, and when I'm on the computer, she has a small bed right up here to be close to me. But not always, there are times where she just wants to be left alone, and I respect that! But most of all there just fun loving dogs! | |

| This was how I got Dixie! I told my husband that we either have another baby or I want a Yorkie. Of course since all of our kids are pretty self sufficient now with the youngest being six, he opted for me getting a Yorkie! lol She has definitely satisfied the nurturing yearning! Having a Yorkie really is like having a skin baby, minus the expense for college of course! lol |
