| Washing head What is the best way to wash the head and face, avoiding getting water in ears? I find it difficult, just looking for a suggestion... I found that cotton balls aren't that good.

| washing... I wash all my babies is my kitchen sink. But for the head.... I use tearless baby shampoo. I hold the ears down as I spray the water gently around the face. It's better to have the facet that you can pull out and spray.... and everytime I wash or rinse.... I just press their ears down so it covers and rinse. It's a good idea to Q tip the ears when you are done too. |

| I use the Coat Handlers Clarifying shampoo and it is non-irritating to the eyes. I use those disposable ear plugs ... just take one & cut it in half ... works like a charm to keep water out of those little ear canals!!

| I just use cotton balls for daily cleaning the gunk out of eyes. When I give Shelby a bath I use baby shampoo and a wash cloth. She hates water in her nose so I hate that part of her bath and feel like I never get her clean enough |

| Avoid using cotton - this only saturates the ear with water since cotton absorbs water quickly. If your baby suffers from ear infections you would want to use lamb's wool (health food stores) in the ears which repels water and provides a barrier. You can also buy a product call swimmer's ears (mainly alcohol) in almost any drugstore that you put a couple of drops in each ear and it evaporates any water left. |
