| Not pooping on the mat!!! Please help! Our Lola is so great! We love her so much! She is doing pretty well peeing on the mat, so that isn't a problem. The problem is with #2! She just goes wherever she is when the urge strikes. First, she runs like crazy. Then when she squats one of us says no and runs her to her pad. She never stays on it, she runs away and poops on the floor! Please help! She is 18 weeks today, so I know she is still young but we need some advice!

| I would try putting pads in the places where she goes to poop. Then she might get the idea that they are for pooping on also. |

| Jersey goes where she wants, when she wants. No excuse for her either she's nearly one year old. She does pee on her pad most times and sometimes she'll poop on the pad but usually she goes on the floor. We had pads everywhere, she will walk across a pad to potty on the floor

| I learned a valuable lesson but it is hard to do. First when Chance was popping when I would see him doing this in the house I would yell out "NO" and take him outside. I think we you say "no" when they are doing it...it sometimes teaches them that they should not poop in front of you...they don't get the connection that they are doing it in the wrong place. They just figure that they are not supposed to poop, but of course we all know that they do. So when you catch them just pick them up and take them to the place where you want them to make poo poo. Then praise the heck out of them when they go in the right spot. If pad training maybe you might want to pick up some of the poo and put it on the pad. If out door training I always take the poo and throw it outside. |
