| Need help organizing a Yorkie Meetup! Anyone have any suggestions?? I am planning a Yorkie Meetup for NC and surrounding states to be held at Country Park in Greensboro on April 8th from 11-3. Has anyone out there ever been to or planned a Meetup before? If so, do you have any suggestions such as: 1. Souvenirs 2. Name tags 3. What could have been done better 4. Contests 5. Pictures 6. Sponsorships Anything you can think of to help me out would be appreciated. I am expecting about 20 pups, I think!

| Hey Glad, thanks for posting this thread. As you know we'd like to hold one here too. I just don't know where to begin as far as planning goes. Do you have an idea of where you're gonna hold it? I'll see what ideas I can come up with and post them. Hugs, Irene |

| Oh this is great idea!! I could do Greensboro!! Ideas - I don't knnow. You could prizes for the one who comes the farthest. Games - pin the bow on the yorkie? If anyone is into agility or obedience you could have a little competition. Name tags - something doggie related. Oh I don't know - kinda brain dead right now!! I am sure you have lots of good ideas and I am sure others will also!! Sounds like a great time - anything I can do to help let me know. |

Yes, we have an awesome dog park in Greensboro called "Bark Park". It has 3 areas, one being strictly for small dogs, and it is being reserved for our group on the 8th. The lady who is in charge of the park is going to meet me there tonight to show it to me in person. I am pretty excited! If you or anyone have some ideas, I would love to have them!! THANKS!

| I wish we lived closer we could hold one together. A costume contest for sure! Raffles from donating vendors. Hit up some of the puppy boutiques on YT for donations of prizes in exchange for free advertising how about a game like easter egg hunting but hide yummy treats for the rascals to find. That would be hilarious I think. Secret admirer exchange of some sort. And exchange the gifts in person. I love the agility course idea. That would be so fun. YOu can make some of the stuff so easily. Have best trick contest, obedience contest...hmm..still thinking |

| Maybe somehow have,, Guess the yorkie,, have maybe 5 or 10 owners stand in a line and bring out one dog, and have everyone guess who he belongs to.

| Hey, I tried to attend a yorkie meet, but no one showed up. I have found the website difficult to use and finally just stopped trying. Joey |

| Oh, I have an idea. Blind fold the Yorkies and have them find their mommies. Do it in a fenced in area if possible blind fold like 6 Yorkies and ahve their mommies scattered and callign their names....but then I'd feel bad they'd look so lost...awwwww... |
