| Gum chewers!!!! My husband left his laundry on the floor today and Peanut got into one of his pockets and found a pack of gum! When Andy got back downstairs, Peanut and Lexy were both chewing away!!!!! I hope they didn't swallow any! Sheesh! |

| Don't worry - I can promise you that it doesn't hurt a dog to swallow gum. We've had threads about this several times in the past. Their stomach acids can digest this faster than most other food they eat. I had one dog that would chew a piece of gum for almost half an hour. It was a riot watching her sit on the sofa, watching TV, and chewing gum. And, recently I noticed my little Yorkie jumping up and down and acting strange while he was trying to drink water. I picked him and looked at him and couldn't believe it. He had gotten a piece of gum and had glued his top lips (hair) to his bottom lip. I actually had to use scissors to cut them apart. Crazy man!!!! Carol Jean |

| Thanks Carol Jean! I just had to come on here and search for "gum" because Tatum ate FIVE gumballs! I thought I remembered seeing threads about gum chewers but I don't think I saw this one originally. So glad to hear that we don't have an emergency on our hands. This site is da bomb for info in a hurry!!

| Well, turns out Tatum only ate 3 of them (found 2 on the floor that she must have knocked off the table). She seems fine today. Glad to know she's not the only one!!

| Again - swallowing gum won't hurt a dog at all.....but the bad part is that often they don't swallow it - and they get it stuck someplace on their coat. I can't tell you how many times I have had to work hard to get gum off my dog's face or paws.....no fun!!!!! Carol Jean |

| The trick would be to get them to blow bubbles! Bet that would be a money making picture! Of course, I wouldn't put it past them! |
