| How to discourage a dog from eating cat poop??!! This is getting really bad. My Stomper boy is eating cat poop (about 5 live next to us and use our backyard as their own!) all the time. He has not gotten to the point where I get home from work and there is bark all over the place. I'm not talking 2 or 3 places. I'm talking 10-12 places. I end up spending hours cleaning it up! I allow Stomper to be in and out of the house while I'm at work. I pick up his poop every day, but the cats seem to hide it and he gets to it and gets sick of it. I worry since I am almost certain the owner next store to these cats does not take care of them properly. Could Stomper get a disease? Any suggestions on what I can do to prevent them from going in my yard without hurting them? PLEASE HELP!

| I think your dog could get sick from this. I fostered a dog who would do anything to get into the cat's poop. He would get really sick. When I crated the dog and made sure he couldn't get into the cat's poop then he was fine. I would go talk to your neighbour. I don't think it is right that his cat comes to your yard to do their thing. I have cats but they never go outside. |

| Growing up we had a setter and a few dachsie's that had a penchant for cat poop. Only thing we found that worked was to put the litter box out of the dogs reach. |
