| The strangest thing happened today??? Today after I returned home from work I noticed the strangest thing. Reese's ears were sticking straight up. She is only 10 weeks old and I have never done anything to make them stand up and now they are. Is this normal? I am just really confused b/c when I left her this morning her ears were floppy?? |

| That is so strange. So if they go up on there own, why to people tape them to make them stand up? What is the point if they are going to go up anyway. But you are totally right she does look cute! |

| Did you do anything to get them to stay up or did they just go up on their own? I was just totally shocked when I got home and saw her. |

| Ears My vet told me that a Yorkie's ears are floppy when they are teething. When they are up, the Yorkie isn't. If one ear is down and the other is up, for instance if the right ear is down, than the pup is teething is on the right side. He has been proven right many times with my Yorkie. Riley is almost done teething and actually, we thought he was done for awhile because for about a month, both ears stood straight up, but then one flopped. Turns out, his tooth was loose on that side. This has happened over and over again to me. Your pup might be taking a teething break. LOL! |

| I read that you can cut the fur on their ears half way on the back, and that takes the weight off them--then they may stand up.Ralphies ears at 13 weeks are up-and he is deffinetly teething. His ears have been up since at least 8 weeks.

| Cairos ears have stood straight up since 8 weeks old. I even wanted floppy ears, so I let the hair grow. (she looked just like a mugwai from the movie 'Gremlins') LOL. It didn't help at all. Her ears are perfectly straight.
