| Tantum and Thors mom I don't know if you remember but you both replied to my I am so excited post... about getting one of my babies back to dog sit. I do believe that the dog remembers us, he is hanging out here like he never left... him and his sister (that lives here) play all the time, just like they used to. Mom on the other hand, wasn't really excited at first, I don't know if she remembers him or not (that he was her baby) but she is treating him like she treats her daughter that lives with us.... she goes out with him to go potty, if he wanders too far (we have a small fenced in yard) she goes by him and scolds him, like she does the other one. She doesn't run and play with him like she does her daughter, but I think she just wants to have us back to herself. It is fun to have him, but it is hard also, my lap is only so big, and each night there is a fight for who gets the good spot on my lap or whom ever is hanging out on the couch. It has been a few days, and the girl I kept is acting out of sorts today.. she gives me that look (you know, can he leave now?) ... she is more needy than before ect- I think she is ready for things to go back to the way they were... you know when her and moma were queen Thought I would update you both, |

| Thanks! I had forgotten about that. Sounds like either the momma remembers or is just used to supervising another so is doing it with this one too. I have heard that moms don't remember/recognize their off-spring later on and just wondered if that was true. If so, that's so sad.

| I don't think mom recognises him as her own, she is treating him the same way as other dogs, she is the alpha, well under us anyways- lol. It is fun, and it also has taught me that I don't want three little dogs in the house... now if I could grow a third arm.. then I would do it. he goes home in a week yet- I think we will all cry again, but at least I know for sure he is being so well taken care of... he is very smart, cuddly and a love, very full of energy. |
