| New Home For Us Hello everyone, We just recently moved and it seems Kiki knows that something is different. During the move he basically stayed out of our way and spent most of his time in his crate. He did not seem his hyper self. Our first day in the new house he also stayed basically in his crate. This is the 2nd day and he seems to be coming around. Has anyone else gone through this?

| I have not experienced this yet but I am sure he'll come around. Dogs have to get familiar to be comfortable so time will definately make him more comfy. He'll soon realize that he has a new home just let him explore! Good luck!

| He seems to be coming around. We still have some mistakes with potty training, so we are keeping him in a couple of rooms only. I think he is getting used to things. I hate moving! It is so much work. I am so glad it's over.

| We moved 2 times in 4 months (not by choice!). The first move was kinda difficult on Gracie. I want to say that it took her about a week to fully adjust. She acted out by peeing on the floor instead of her potty pads. She did not sleep well for the first night or two and she did not eat well for the first few days. It also took her a bit to get use to the "sounds" of the new house. We had ALOT of barking issues those first few days! The second move she adjusted alot quicker. BUT if she sees boxes now she gets upset, I guess she thinks that we are moving again!

Kiki would not eat much at all either. His appetite has picked up now. He is gradually coming around.

| Glad you made it through your move okay. It sure is stressful isn't it? I moved to Utah back in November and it took a couple weeks for Bridget to get completely comfortable in her new surroundings. Don't worry, your baby will be running round like he owns the place before you know it! |

| We're moving in two weeks as well and I'm worried about Brownie not adjusting. Last time we moved, she had to take an airplane and she was off for weeks!!!! Hope that this move around the corner won't shake her as much.

| I've never had any problem moving with any of my dogs. In fact, they were always the ones that were the most excited. I think as long as they have their favorite bed or blankets (or sleep with us), their favorite food, and have us around, they are totally fine -- Plus they are positively excited about checking everything out. I might expect a dog to sleep a little more after a move --after all, aren't we all exhausted!!!! I wouldn't worry a bit. Carol Jean |
