| Does your yorkie ever go through "independent" phases?? Hi everyone! I was just wondering, for those of you who have "stage 5 clingers" (a little Wedding Crashers humor), do your little ones ever go through phases when they don't seem to want to hang out with you as much?? Zeus used to be stuck to us like glue, couldn't go anywhere without him, but lately he seems to want to do his own thing. He'll sleep in his bed, rather than in our lap, etc. I am pretty sure he is feeling ok. Do you think he is just getting tired of us?

| WEll, how old is he and has something in your routines changed? For us- my girl is mostly clingy in the morning but once we start moving around she is very indepedent and not much of a lap dog till right before bedtime. If there is a lot of activity going on then she doesn't stop to be petted. I am sorry he is acting this way. |

| Bella goes through that a lot. Sometimes she won't play with me and other times she won't let me out of her sight!!! I think they just go through stages (just like us) where they want to be left alone. For example, Bella just wanted to lay by herself and look out the window the other day, and today she wants to play all day! I think it has to do with the amount of exercise or sleep they have had. If you work it also makes a difference.

| My one little girl was with me all the time no matter where I was or what I was doing, she even sleeps right by my face at night. But latley she has been starting at night in bed by my face then she ends up going down by my belly and sleeping at night. Kind of makes me upset as she has had the same routine for 18 months and now she changes...But I still love her. |

| Tucker is always independant! Drives me nuts. We took him to the dog park and instead of playing with the othe dogs, he just walked around peeing on everything! He comes when I call him, but if I try to pick him up he backs away. Everything is always on HIS terms. If he FEELS like being petted, you can pet him. If he FEELS like playing you can play with him. I swear, there is some cat in his family tree somewhere!
