| What do you feed your Yorkies? Hi, I was just wondering what kind of dog food you feed your little ones? My lil baby is quite the picky one and he hasn't found a dog food he likes very much. I've tried science diet, pro plan and eukanuba. I currently have him on wellness but i want to know if there is anything else that i can give him |

| The other day on this site, somebody suggested natural balance. comes in a tube kinda like cookies dough. I bought some, grated it on top of her hard food (science diet puppy small bites) and she hogged the entire thing down!! she loves it!!!!!! |

| I feed Sebastian Eukanuba petit. He hasn't had any problems with it and that was what the breeder was feeding him. He only potties 2-3 times a day. |

| Mine will not eat anything but Eukanuba. I have a big bag of Nutro Natural Choice puppy sitting here. He wouldn't touch it. For the first couple weeks I had him I also fed him Pedigree Little Champions chicken morsels in gravy because the breeder was feeding him wet along with the dry. He loved it. I wouldn't recommend wet food, though. Their stool gets soft and they're teeth are more likely to develop problems later on.

| I also used to feed the wet puppy from Pedigree but have stopped. I was so afraid of him missing a meal and getting low blood sugar when he was little that I would do anything to get him to eat so he was pretty spoiled, being hand or fork fed. Now he eats Royal Canin puppy #30 and my little girl is on Eukanuba ahich he will eat also. I am going to try that Natural balance. |

| Mine eat Nutro. Be very careful when feeding a BARF diet. I knew a lady on another forum whom almost lost her maltese to something her dog developed from a BARF diet, can't remember if it was ecoli or something...it's been a while. Anyway she was a big supporter of RAW or BARF diets and then her little one became deathly ill. The vet said that while larger breeds may do fine on it. Should small toy breeds get ill from it they can go down hill very quickly. Don't want to scare you or anything but she did almost loose her maltese, the vet didn't think it would survive. Thankfully the dog did come thru but they did decide to forgo BARF/RAW diet.

| Mojo, the Dick Van Patton Natural Balance line of food is pretty good! They also have the all stage kibble which is what I had mine on when I brought Mia home. Bentley was 2 years old..he wanted her puppy food and she wanted his adult kibble. It was a real pain trying to keep them from eating each others food. Someone told me about the Natural Balnace all life stage food and thats when I made the switch. Sure did make things easier. The Natural Balance dog food roll is great too and I use it as treats. You can just slice off a sliver and boy do they love it! It smells wonderful, kind of like a summer sausage. I had to show it to my husband and tell him that it was "dog food" and not to eat it. Dick Van Pattens also makes a Zoological line of food. For some of you older members if you remember the TV show Eight Is Enough? Dick Van Patton was the dad on that show.

| I used to feed my old dogs - Pedigree, Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Nutro, Purina Mighty dog.. until i got my two yorkies and found out these brands were junk!.. never again will i put that kind of food near my babies mouths. so far, i've tried.. Artemis (Osopure), Canidae & Innova... when they are old enough i will be putting them on Innova EVO. I don't like Pedigree, Iams/Eukanuba, Science Diet & Nutro only because most of their ingredients are by-products.. i think meaning they contain dead body parts of other animals, and some contain even sick animal parts or something like that.. for sure i will never buy frtom iams/eukanuba - iamscruelty.com there is a great site about ingredients to avoid and stuff like that.. http://www.mordanna.com/dogfood/ i got it from another forum i am on |
