I Love Thor Donating Member | Thor will be all alone!! Since the day that I got Thor he has had company at home all day long. (I live at home with my 'rents) and my dad works out of the house. He adores Thor, and vise versa. Well my dad just took a job that is in the next town over so Thor will be all ALONE during the days!! I am so worried! I have a huge back yard, but I am scared to leave him there when I am not home. He will have to be in his crate the whole day! I just feel so bad for him!!! |

| Oh poor guy!! Isn't there anyone at all who can go to your house and give Thor an exercise break in the middle of the day? No local friends, neighbors, stay at home moms that might be able to give you a hand? You might also get him an xpen so he has a little bit more room to run around in during the day. Give him a soft bed, some tough to bite toys (no choking bits), plenty of water, pee pads, and play some music or leave the TV on for him. He'll be OK, honey! There are loads of folks here who have to leave their pups home during the day. Besides, dogs can't tell time. 8 hours is like 10 minutes to them! HUGS!! I bet you feel worse than Thor!

| Awww, Hannah, Thor will be ok!! It will be a little tough at first, but I know he will be just fine. Do you have to keep him crated? Zeus is at home by himself all day too, but he has the whole house to himself. We leave the puppy pads out and he uses them. I know that it isn't ideal for him to be alone, but I think Zeus sleeps most of the day and I'm sure Thor will do the same. Try not to feel so bad, we all know you are a great mom!!!

I Love Thor Donating Member | Thanks Glad and Farrah for those nice words. He must be "contained" because he is going through his second ''chew everything up in sight phase". He jumps over the babygate, so I can't confine him to the kitchen. I have 30 minute breaks inbetween my MWF classes, so I will come home then, but it's just a huge (crappy) adjustment for the poor guy! |

| Don't let him go outside by himself. There are a lot of crazy a$$ people who like to steal little doggies.

Ooh, I didn't even think about the chewing issue. I got lucky with Zeus, he has never chewed anything except his toys. I hope everything works out for Thor!!

| Don't leave him outside. That would worry me! And inside - why can you confine him to a larger area? My pup stays in the kitchen which is joined to the mud/laundry room. He has the run of quite a large area where he can't get in trouble or do any harm. And, he has everything he needs. Bed, water, food, toys, puppy pad, etc. I also leave the radio and a light on for him. He has always seemed content to stay this way. And, I am sure he sleeps most of the time. More often than not, when I come in, he gets out of his bed - yawning and stretching - but happy to see me. Good luck! Carol Jean |
